Oh gee, I didn't know Obi-Wan Kenobi was a dick
He witnessed the birth of the first neckbeard. I think that would strike fear in to us all.
Looks like he doesn't like the majority of fanbases for anything ever. Alec was a dick by doing that though, so what if a kid likes something.
I think he's actually kind of spot-on about it. I mean, it's one thing to have an appreciation for the movie, but it's another to be completely fanatical about it like many people are these days. It's that fanaticism that leads to franchise milking to the point where these days I really wish Star Wars would just die already. I've pretty much lost all of my original appreciation of it because of how tainted the brand has gotten.

It's strange seeing adults go to conventions and all that, I think it's really weird to be honest but this was a 12 year old kid, all kids act like that, they grow out of it and if they don't then they're just not normal and then you can have a problem with it.
Obi Wan died because Guinness hated working on Star Wars and convinced George Lucas to kill off the character.
The thought of killing Obi Wan may have been in Lucas' mind, I don't know about that part, but Guinness really pushed for it.
I always read he hated Star Wars because that was the only movie younger audiences knew him from, and he wanted to be know for his more Shakespearean movies.
I have to give the man credit though, he hated Star Wars but he came back for 5 and 6.
I get the feeling he didn't so much hate Star Wars as hated the fandom.
No, he hated Star Wars itself too, just not as much as the fandom.
What I didn't tell Lucas was that I just couldn't go on speaking those bloody awful, banal lines. I'd had enough of the mumbo jumbo.
Damn right I only knew you from star wars. Deal with it you snotty intellectual actor.

yeah eat it you fucking idiot god
Every time I hear or read his name, I don't think Star Wars, I get reminded of the beer Guinness.
