hi guys
i've posted about this on the forum some time ago but basically me and some peers/colleagues are doing a 24hr gaming marathon for SpecialEffect - a charity that makes specialised gaming controllers for those less able to enjoy all the great games most of us take for granted. this comes in the form of things like sturdy, customisable controllers for those with bad muscle control or amputations, but they also make kit as specialised as eye-tracking devices that allow you to play games using only your eyes. yeh i know right. i played DiRT3 using only my vision to control the car and it's pretty incredible but, more importantly, it's not a crutch - you could go online and compete against people and win by a good margin
the gaming marathon was originally supposed to be in Project CARS but, as the game is still in beta testing, a recent update to that sim means that we're not actually able to use it for the fundraiser. this is a shame but it won't stop us - we're just gonna do the whole thing in GT5 at the nurburgring 24hr circuit instead
