Looks really good, loved the original source mod before that standalone version
Unreal engine motion blur so fucking nauseous. Why do people still enable it?

Probably for video purposes. I doubt it will ship like that.
Mechanically looks VERY snappy, but I'm curious to see how well the netcode stands up to the average 50-100 ping differences in a server.. All of this footage looks like a playtest on a LAN. e: or the player running around in an AI sandbox.
Red-Orchestra tier levels of immersion as well!
It more feels like Battlefield

How so?
I think of battlefield I think of the game shitting up your screen with arbitrary points for kills and neon objective markers.. The guy there says it himself you spend less time sprinting around and more time carefully advancing.

Graphic wise. I know gameplay is totally different.
O you said 'feels' my b. Yea, the ravaged middle-eastern arena is fairly commonplace.
yea theres some segments in that video that i genuinely thought was battlefield footage. the animations and visuals just remind me a lot of it
For my taste they could slow down the gameplay a bit more (jumping still feels more like BF).
Also the biggest negative of the current Insurgency is the CPU bottleneck, hoping Sandstorm is better in that aspect (and that a 1080 won't be needed just to play it).
Bloke gabbing over it damn near put me to sleep. Gameplay looks excellent tho, and exactly what I wanted from an Insurgency successor.
I just hope they keep the modding aspect of the first game.
Half the fun for me was rotating between authentic ISIS mods with allahu ackbars every 5 seconds to anime qts screaming at me to stop shooting them and my CO flashing his blue striped panties at me whenever we're pinned by a ditch
only complaint is the way the weapons drop when someone dies. they drop facing directly to the right of the corpse and appear at their shoulders, despite where they were holding the gun.

Unfortunately, it seems like he had original footage but none without his commentary over it.

I will flip the fuck out if we get a modded theatre like Sernix Coop where there’s usually over 120 enemy reinforcements per objective, suicide bombers, engineers (who can build fortifications and IED jammers), and medics who drag your ass out of the firing line and bring you back from the brink of death after taking an RPG round to the face.
Everyone on the team has an important role and working together is crucial to winning in situations which would normally be impossible. Having a server like that along with the new A10 CAS feature would be amazing.
