Carnegie Mellon is a competitive school to get into. There are tons of reasons why the wouldn't accept you.

I have insane amounts of respect for this man. First lecture I've actually listened to.
I remember watching this in 2008 before he died. My tenth grade English teacher played it for us.

To be perfectly honest, I watched this video a few weeks after it was first posted. It never had the Carnegie thing before it. And yes, it was a good lecture. One day, a few decades from now, I hope to be able to pass down good knowledge I've taken from my many years to other people. Even if its to only a few people, unlike his audience, It'll still make my life feel complete.
