The comments make me want to kick something
Youtube comments will do that to you.
I'm gay and love it.
Oppressors don't scare me. I wouldn't want it any other way, because I know we'll get gay marriage nationally and no one can stop it.
This guy got gang-raped as a kid, and got bullied at school for it. The emotional scarring obviously fucked him up. Of course he would say some dumb stuff, and we really shouldn't make fun of him for it
Is it me, or does the logo-title overlaid on the video for this, remind you have a dating site?
I can't bring myself to watch this and I sure as hell don't find anything funny about it. I understand that sexual abuse is something most people don't come into contact with and thank god for that, but there is nothing even remotely funny about this video, not if you know what this sort of thing does to a person, not if you grasp the infinite extend of harm it does. Basically, fuck whoever is suggesting its funny that abuse victims are emotionally broken, stopped functioning socially and are often exploited and misguided by organizations out to cash in on their misfortune. Imagine how you'd feel about a loved one suffering such a fate. I know what this does to people, it's an ongoing, very real issue and you're a terrible person if you can laugh at such misery
I think this video brings up a problematic issue with the argument that being gay is okay because people are born gay.
I think this guy makes a pretty good argument that he was not born gay. His homosexual behavior could be a result of the childhood trauma. However, I think it's still wrong in this case for religious groups to argue that homosexuality is bad and should be "fixed". It's good that he's found such comfort in religion, but from the video it sounds like that was greatly helped by the fact that he strongly associated his homosexuality with shame, depression, abuse, etc. and thus felt a desire to be "saved". A totally different approach would be to help him see how homosexuals can still live happy, wholesome lives and can actually receive comfort and support from a homosexual partner.
Even if some feeling is "bad" and was caused by some past trauma or abuse, it might be impossible to "fix" it. Trying to fix it could in fact just cause more damaged to the individual who is already struggling to live with their feelings. In many cases it could be better in the long run to help that person live with their feelings in a way that is healthy and non-destructive.
As a more extreme example of this, consider Virtuous Pedophiles: people who know they are attracted to minors, know it is wrong, and wish to avoid perpetrating. Pedophilia - like homosexuality - has suspected genetic or neurological ties but also has a strong link with childhood abuse. Pedophilia is dangerous in a way that homosexuality is not, but we still don't know how to fix it. It seems better to me to help these people live with their undesirable feelings rather than labeling them as criminals and ruining their lives.

Actually I just realized that both cases are handled by a lack of choice. Whether you are born gay or have homosexuality forced upon you by abuse, you didn't choose to be gay. So I guess my point is that it's not voluntary, so don't try to fix it.

I guess jesuz saved him from rape and molestation, not homosexuality.

Was 16:40 to 17:05 an innuendo for the holy spirit cumming inside of him?
