Was uploaded simultaneously on Bethesda's own channel and StealthGamerBR's. DLC spoilers, obviously.
That fucking lean at 8:47 was amazing.
StealthgamerBR is what I think of when it comes to how Corvo and Hitman fight in Dishonored and Hitman if you consider them being a psycho canon
People jokes about using him for trailers, and now here we stand.
God these are so good

Just the other day I was watching one of his videos and in the comments someone had said that a game company should pay him to play their game and upload it. Lo and behold.
Huh, weird that I was thinking about his videos the other day.
About time they do this. His videos are perfect to advertise games that feature high speed assassination style action.
Still remember that one from D1 where he infiltrated a house full of guards and sliced and diced through like 4 of them in a way that would make the best action movie jealous.
It was so fluid, so spot on, so... Perfect.
did they get rid of billie's cool mechanical arm? or is it a savefile thing?
You can prevent Billy from losing her arm when you go back in time at the mansion. It's probably a save difference.

It's a savefile thing
StealthgamerBR is exactly why you need to perfectly know your controls tbh
being able to just... instantly know to change to a weapon and be able to do it instantly is amazing, even for shitty players.
This is advertising done right.
Get good players to show off the game for you, so that people have a better idea of how flexible the gameplay is.

We should have this guy race polygons players tbh
He isnt even playing for speed
Now that would be an ad campaign

If anything is the opposite of StealthgamerBR, it's Polygon's Doom video.
I know this isn't tech support but did anyone else have an issue with Dishonored 2 running like absolute dogshit? Never got to play through it because it averaged like 40 FPS on my 970 no matter what I did and I was really sad.

There's nothing that can really be done about it, it's just optimized like hot shit. It's improved somewhat since release, but it still has pretty shoddy performance.
this is the first stealthgamerbr video I have watched and now I want to watch more, also I want to play this DLC. this is some good advertising

I think polygon's Doom video was one-upped by the latest upload of that Cuphead gameplay.

The engine that they based Void on isn't exactly known for being actually any good. iD Tech 5 has a whole host of wonky performance issues thanks to the new technologies they were trying out like megatextures and pushing some improvements on existing technologies.
The only game based on the engine that didn't really use some of these was The Evil Within, and that was a shitshow for many other reasons.
After Arkane used CryEngine for Prey, I hope that they stick with it. Prey ran like butter compared to D2.
IMO whoever forced them to use ID Tech 5 probably wanted the game to have some kind of problem on release.
I kinda refuse to believe they purposefully built Void on ID Tech 5's engine simply out of ease of use because I'm almost certain that they could've used 6 instead if that were the case, or even UE4.
But I guess one of the guys working at Bethesda insisted they had to use ID Tech 5 for whatever reason and I think that kinda screwed with the final result big time when it comes to performance.

It could very well be a similar thing to EA trying to get everyone using Frostbite. iD Tech is an in house engine, they only have to pay iD their usual amount to get stuff done. Using UE, CE, etc. costs more in licenses. And iD may just get dibs on using new versions of their own engine before anyone else. Hence Doom 3 (4), RAGE (5) and DOOM (6) being the first titles on their respective engines.
The main difference being Frostbite has yet to release a version that just straight up wasn't fit for purpose.
This guys videos have on two occasions gotten me to reinstall dishonored.

That probably is the case, I still wonder if they could have used the more optimized ID Tech 6 instead but perhaps at the time of Dishonored 2's development starting the engine wasn't ready to be licensed yet.

I think I like his Far Cry Primal videos the most because he actually does all the tricks in one sitting (the Dishonored videos are impressive but are also edited from many different attempts with very liberal use of quicksaves). Also plenty of shitty AI abuse which is always funny.

It's not DLC, it's a full sequel to Dishonoured 2.
It's not DLC, it's a full sequel to Dishonoured 2.
Its really not either, its something in between the two like The Old Blood was. Think of it as a "standalone expansion".
If it were a full blown sequel it would have a lot more in it that would be considered new, and it would be called Dishonored 3.
I'm excited for the return of the expansion pack style of dlc.
Shame we can't play as Daud, especially with all the hype around two protags in the base game. I wanna play daddy assassin again.

I think they were originally doing to use CryEngine, but for some reason were forced on IDT5. If you look at Prey, which is from the studio but came out only 6 months later, it uses CryEngine, and suspiciously has movement mechanics that are almost identical to DH2 (even a bit more like DH1..), and its hud elements are also very very similar.
It wouldn't surprise me that they built DH2 on CryEngine, but somewhere in the middle of development couldn't get approval for licensing, or some other internal politics, and they were forced to use IDtech. Then another team used the DH2 codebase to make Prey on CryEngine once they got licensing approval.

I was just about to ask about this. I haven't even bought the game yet because I keep hearing about the performance problems on PC and I can't justify buying something that doesn't even run properly. I was hoping by now that they had fixed these issues. Guess not.

It works fine on my rig, i7-6850k, RX Vega 64 (Also ran well on a R9 Fury).
