Q3A best multiplayer FPS ever.
Just like i43, awesome.
Motherfucking CRTs man.
man this brings me back I miss the golden days of LAN
Oh god, it's been so long since I used a CRT.
man this brings me back I miss the golden days of LAN
When.. people hung around in rooms with computers hooked up and snacks and drinks? This was only 10 years ago..
Man now I feel bad for jumping onto pc gaming late. Sure I play with friends on the internet but lan seems like something magical.
Man now I feel bad for jumping onto pc gaming late. "Do I still got this mic on?" I wish I could go to a LAN party once. In school, me and some friends get together in the library for a one hour starcraft game (brood war), and a couple years ago in my electronics class we all installed the Halo CE trial and had a huge slayer fight on blood gulch. Much swearing and fighting occurred so the teacher banned us from playing it in class.
Me and my friends still play Quake 3 arena on our lan parties.
This is kind of sad and cool at the same time
The closest thing I had to a LAN party was playing Counter Strike 1.6 with friends in computer class. That was earlier this year. The teacher also joined in. :v:
All of that ivory coloured plastic
Bah, I go to lan parties all the time.
All of that ivory coloured plastic
I always thought it was beige.
The best LAN game is Crysis 1 TDM. You and a buddy go freeze-ray squad. You can feel the rage in the air.
I have never been in a LAN party. I want to sometime, but i don't know where.
The school I go to does LAN parties sometime, I go to IT-Gymnasiet. Also, a guy who used to work as a chef at my old school arranges lan parties there for students and previous students.
I feel bad for you guys outside Scandinavia, where the best LAN-parties are.
YES YES YES
I feel bad for you guys outside Scandinavia, where the best LAN-parties are.
Assembly + Dreamhack represent
Ah, I remember the days of beta Counter-Strike Lans. Generally, when playing online nowadays I always like to talk to people. Reminds me of having friends around, competing against a actual person, rather than some impersonal, virtual representaion. That is propably the experience those raging xbl kids didn't have
I go to lans like 3 or 4 times a year. One is invite only and has around 50ish people, the other you sign up and it has like 150-200. Lan parties are awesome.
I don't see how you can play any game for hours with the same people and not get bored.
I work at a place that's a local gaming center and occasionally we do tournaments or lan parties, sometimes overnight Usually it's on an xbox but ever now and then a couple of people come on and play on pc, I usually join them.
Chip to chip, man to man.
CRT screen lesser race! My LCD broke when someone shot it with an airsoft gun so I had to get out my old COMPAQ monitor
My friends and I still have lan parties, most we've had was 9 people.
Chip to chip, man to man.
Hat to hat.
I'm so going to one as soon as I can. I might bring my Amiga and ask if anyone wants a game of Lemmings :v:
