Thats fairly interesting, how they all casually stop without problems, and just seem to enter a trance sort-of state and respect that and go on with their day as if nothing ever happened. . . If in the U.S and chose to stop like that there would probably be a number of crashes.
edit: inb4 anti-Israel comments
Every year.

Also, why would there be anti Israel comments? It may be national but it's to remember everyone who died in the holocaust, not just Jews...
A lot of threads pertaining to Israel on Facepunch, seem to attract some degree of people taking stabs at Israel.

They do this same thing here in America. On bases at around 5 PM the national anthem plays and everyone stops until it ends.

Well thats odd, I almost never see that in where I live in Texas, only occurs during big events such as Football, or important announcements like a presidential address. But by Base I'm guessing military which makes perfect sense.
That siren is eerie
Touching.
Albeit a bit creepy.
Mass memorial silences always seem pretty eerie to me. I'm not trying to be inconsiderate here, as I always give my time to minutes silences and what have you, but watching them as an observer, they can be very haunting.
Did they have to have the siren running the entire time? I think that'd make it a little bit hard to actually consider and think about the Holocaust when it's blaring so loudly.

Big events?
How is a football game more important than remembering the millions of deaths caused by the Holocaust?
