I recommend using the torrent magnet link on the site and help seeding once you have it in your computer.
The 0.9.7.0 trailer was much better.
Looks neat.
It may be just a dream, but seeing this and KSP combined would be fucking magical.
Seeding this, I used to love this program, hope it's even better now.
For some reason this game gets me nervous as fuck and i've got no reason why. What's with the space ships in the trailer? Is there something i'm missing ingame?

But that's the excitement of space exploration i guess.

It's propably just too far away from a star to be lit if you have real planet brightnesses on.

Since it also shows you the ship's orbit in the map view, the game already has some very Kerbal-like gameplay -you can do orbital manoeuvres to travel around the solar system (though at the moment it seems pretty buggy, it happens to crash a lot if you speed up time too much)
So does it crash every 5 minutes still and doesn't load any planets?
So does it crash every 5 minutes still and doesn't load any planets?
It loads everything and almost never crashes if you have a strong enough PC.
It loads everything and almost never crashes if you have a strong enough PC.
might try again then, recently upgraded to 16gb ram
It's 100 times more stable for me since this update.
I love how the increments of 0.9.6.9, 0.9.7.0, and 0.9.7.1 are so small numerically but SpaceEngine improves ten-fold with each one. It excites me to think about what release 1.0 will be like.
My scariest moment pretty much ever in a game was when I hit "Go to surface" on a black hole. The distortion just kept getting bigger and bigger and blacker and blacker as I kept going towards it, pretty much banging on my keyboard to try to get away. Then I stayed away from black holes.

I don't get it how you people get so scared and stuff. I just think it's cool and looks cool.
For some reason 0.9.6 worked much better on my PC than 0.9.7 does.
Oh man, I just zoomed around a whole universe in this. Crazy shit. [editline]2nd January 2014[/editline] I wouldn't mind seeing some kind of Star Wars EU shit done with this [editline]2nd January 2014[/editline] oh god I hate it when planets jump out at me I shit myself so hard [editline]2nd January 2014[/editline] gas giants piss me off and freak me out aaa

Just select the galaxy and press ctrl-g or g or whichever one it is. It makes my heart rate go up just being around it haha
Fuck Amnesia and all those other horror games Space Engine is the scariest game ever.
I don't find the massiveness of space scary, I think it's really really cool.

It creeps me the fuck out.
Can somebody with more balls than brains take a picture of the black hole? :v:
Are black holes in 0.9.7, or is that a new feature in 0.9.7.1? I'm too lazy to read the update info.
Black holes have been in as far as 96 AFAIK
I'm afraid of deep water, zooming into blackholes/gas giants is pretty close to that, really uncomfortable.
I'm surprised that it claims it can run on my computer.
