I heard somewhere they also brought in James Arnold Taylor, who voices Obi-Wan in Clone Wars, to try doing the line as well, but ultimately went with Ewan.
I don't even remember that from the movie. Very odd.
I don't even remember that from the movie. Very odd.
I didn't notice it until the 2nd time through (after I was told of it), it is very faint.
God I hope he comes back in a future spinoff movie or something, I want more Ewan Mcgregor Obi-wan.
i never noticed the line until i saw it the second time either. it's wicked cool and i hope to see him reprise obi wan again in some form or another. he was fantastic as that character
It's so crazily awesome seeing interviews at 60fps. I love the fluidity so much.
60 fps is some seriously weird shit
I only heard the "Rey" part, but I was like "Holy shit that's a spot on Alec Guinness voice." Now I know why.
Honestly, I'm just amazed how young Ewan still looks.
Huh, I thought that was Mark Hamill's voice saying that line.
The way they spliced Alec Guinnes together to add his voice to the movie reminds me of this:
Ewan McGregor is one of the three or four only positive things about the prequels.
