tits
Fucking awesome!
im watching through this and have one wish: i really hope that they include some sort of russian tunes. it seems a bit strange that in soviet controlled afghanistan that russian soldiers would be listening to western music. not really worth complaining about but it'd be really cool if they included some russian tunes for the patriotic soviets out there
Something about Big Boss running around the desert with D-Dog while listening to 80's tunes just feels so right. I feel very assured that this game is gonna be a blast to play.
That walker is FUCKING SICK GODDAMN

It would be so perfect if they could get the rights to this song
In the mansion they were playing "Maneater" by Hall and Oates. I want THAT as my heli song.
I hope you can extract targets by carrying them to the heli extract, the entire fulton system feels weird to me and I'd much prefer to go about sneaking/shooting through bases rather than abducting their entire personnel, and I hope I don't suffer for it.
I'm so glad this is coming pretty soon-ish. Looks amazing.
Holy shit, the music playing while they were going through deployment gave me shivers. I love that kind of music.

Who knows how many you can actually do in the game itself. Fulton system actually existed by the way. Just that well.. you know you typically didn't hold 10+ of them on you at a time. And they didn't act so fast and instant, and you hella didn't do them in a hot zone. It bothers me a little that you can just fulton at any time and the loud screaming they do as they go up doesn't alert anyone. But at the same time part of MGS's charm is that it is super quirky and bat shit crazy in certain ways despite having super in depth stealth and a really serious tone to the storytelling. Basically if your average western war movie was turned into an anime describes the tone of MGS perfectly lol. A ton of quirkiness and parts where it doesn't take itself seriously, but the overall metanarrative/character development/gameplay is more serious.

In the new gameplay demo a guard is alerted by seeing a Fulton balloon. And he specifically decides not to Fulton a soldier because enemies were too close in proximity and it would be noticed.
Looks like a fantastic action game as well as a stealth game. Can't wait for Sept 1st
Yeah, it seems Fultons actually make noise when the victim screams. Previously no one noticed unless they could clearly see it. Also Big Boss carried "only" 12 of the at a time. A reply to one of the earlier posts. In GZ you could extract people with the helicopter, trailers for TPP showed Snake bringing people to a helicopter so I don't see why you couldn't extract soldiers that way.

You can also probably call in a air drop for some more during operations.

Well this will probably make me finally buy a PS4, looks fucking awesome
Holy shit, the music playing while they were going through deployment gave me shivers. I hope the PC version has a better draw distance than GZ though. Even when playing everything on max at 60fps, enemies would still pop in after zooming, which was a shame.

Holy crap this game way looks so Amazing. also this gameplay that way the amount of things going on screen is impressive..can't wait. [editline]18th June 2015[/editline] The good old days..
My problem with the Fulton system is the same one i had with it in peace walker. You Spend most of the game not killing people because they have good stats and then you just end up using Fulton on everything till you have a barracks full of A's and S's. At the same time, enemy combatants join your cause because you chat to them for a couple of days, or they get thrown in the brigg to think about it and they become loyal soldiers. And that whole needing an interpreter to translate Russian, Snake speaks 'superb' Russian already. Unless the head trauma has caused him to forget it. Regardless looks like great fun.

I'm not sure how much I buy that, but at least it opens up an interesting gameplay opportunity.

During the Soviet-Afghan War a sort of underground "soldier-bard" music culture emerged when soldiers took their guitars with them to Afghanistan Examples For those who want to read more about this, I've got a excerpt from Rodric Braithwaite's "Afghantsy" here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B06GppuET3sASjA2ZEdIM3FINU0/view?usp=sharing
Day one buy for me.
What? In the new gameplay demo a guard is alerted by seeing a Fulton balloon. In the game though, only people who are really close notice.
I need this game and I need it now.
