What really bothers me about all this is that these guys are in a such a privileged position, like could you imagine being paid to talk about and play video games for a fucking living?! Getting to go to gaming events, meeting devs and celebrities, getting early access to or behind the scenes insights on games that haven't even been revealed yet. It'd be incredible, worst thing is that most people in this thread with no experience or qualifications would almost certainly do a better job than the guys over at Polygon and Kotaku. Yet despite this amazing job, these guys just seem to want to squander it just being, for lack of a better word, [I]cunts[/I]. Like seriously, this guy has a fucking HTC Vive and is playing games in virtual fucking reality. That is his fucking job, and he acts like this. What a wanker.

Yeah, that too. Agenda pushing bullshit is definitely part of their modus operandi these days.
I think the whole "Having a gun in the house would make me feel less safe" line is telling. Using common sense on how to store it eliminates almost any danger of it harming you. I keep my shotgun hidden and separated from its shells, which are also hidden. Its within a few feet of each other so If god forbid I needed it I could access it quickly, but I also know there is no dangers of anyone who shouldn't have it getting a hold of it.
Over the years I have really become supportive of more restrictive gun control but the way he was talking about guns helps nothing. They shouldn't be viewed in fear as some sort of death machine that you should feel unsafe just being around.

Well now that I think about it, its no wonder he is uncomfortable around guns. He talks about sneaking off, handling and nearly pulling the trigger of what I assume to be a loaded pistol. I remember it being drilled into me that you should always treat a weapon as if it is loaded, even if you know for fact it isnt. He is basing he view on what he was taught about guns, which is apparently nothing.

I was convinced that either the audio or video was some kind of parody reading of one of their articles or something, but then i went and found that the video is really on their channel, same voice, words, gameplay. This is some twilight zone shit.

The lack of knowledge he demonstrated about guns even in this short video worries me about the general American populace. I bet there is a huge percentage of people who, like him, don't realize the gun may still have a round in the chamber even though the magazine was taken out.

I'm fairly ignorant of guns and even I can see how unbelievably incompetent you'd have to be to try and put the handle for the top of the gun in the magazine slot

As powerful as guns are, it's honestly very fun to go to a shooting range and fire some hot lead downrange. I can definitely understand someone not wanting to do that or having no interest in it at all because they don't like guns or they had some bad experiences with them, but a proper review is an unbiased one.
They didn't even really show the game, nor talk about it. It was just a guy bitching about how he couldn't figure it out and how guns scare him. That's not a review, it's a video blog. Polygon is a fucking joke.
Honestly this explains why they adore walking simulators so damn much.
