That looked really fun. I hope they reconsider because I would buy that in a heart beat.
That looks fun.
Oh man this would be slick as fuck. I'd have loved to play that
I can't imagine what it would feel like to be a major dev in a project like that.
Spending months/years working tirelessly on it, slowly growing to become attached to what you've created, only for the whole thing to be cancelled for nobody to see and enjoy.

There are too many projects like that, imo.
Tons are left almost fully completed and just canned because of legal shit or just an unwillingness to publish it. It's awful.

You should ask the people who made starfox 2. Entire game was finished before nintendo pulled the plug.
This actually looks really good, I hope they go back to this idea.
holy fuck i remember that EGM article. i was so excited for that as a kid
Dat movement speed though.
Looks like fun, I'm sure it'd have a fun online mode too. I'd buy it, especially since the Halo Mega Bloks sets and mini figures are excellent.

by "pulled the plug" you of course mean "reused a bunch of their code and concepts in Star Fox 64 without any reimbursement"
Probably wouldn't rival Lego Games at best.
Maybe if this was released and highly successful (somehow), we'll probably see a Call of Duty Megabloks game (oh god)
The gameplay demo here already rivals them in originality.
LEGO games have been nothing but generic CoD clones of each other that get released multiple times a year. I don't understand why they're still so praised.
Honestly, I could see Halo in LEGO Dimensions. They've been pulling in some really different IPs I wouldn't have expected, like the A-Team, most of which seemed aimed for adults than the kids who usually play LEGO games. I dunno how feasible it is after this long of Mega Bloks having the license, but I don't think it's entirely out of the realm of possibility anymore.
This would have been a good point to introduce all the stuff thats in the halo books. Spartans are supposed to be super soldiers, which move fast, think faster and are hard hitting sons of bitches. Basicly take the Nano Suit of Crysis 1, have strength and speed active simultaneously with unlimited energy and add the Mjolnir shield. I would also add the agility of Titanfalls pilots on top of that.

My little sister (17-years-old) absolutely loves Lego-games and I play them with her because she loves to play them with me for some reason.
But good GOD I've grown so bored of them after the Indiana Jones -one. They're just the same shit with different skins, CoD-style like you said.
This looks pretty good. Too bad Mega Bloks bricks are poor quality trash.

That's changed. They have some ways to go, but they have made several improvements over LEGO (namely in color consistency, LEGO is trash at that) but you probably won't experience a problem. And I say this as someone who was very involved in the AFOL community and refused to buy anything Mega Bloks.
how long before someone starts up a petition?
Looks like a really good local co op game, i'd play that
The concept behind this project is just about impossible to advertise which is probably why it was cancelled.
Adult demographic: Is a Halo fan that is not proud enough to become offended at a mega blocks version
Child demographic: isn't allowed to play M-rated Halo, but parents still allow Halo mega blocks version
also the Niche Crowd that stagnated on anything of substance to play so they are reduced to playing mega blocks Halo and it turns out to be not completely unbearable.

Halo 3 is also a really good local co op game and I can guarantee you it will be a more enjoyable experience than the GTAIII-shooting-mega-blocks version.
that art style's really vibrant

Ratchet & Clank was profitable and this looks like it plays very similar.

You get used to it.
Ratchet & Clank was profitable and this looks like it plays very similar.
Ratchet & Clank was always a franchise aimed at kids tho.
It is funny though that a kid's toy video game based on Halo even existing is basically the industry tacitly admitting that kids play M-rated games all the time.
LEGO were fine with a Starwars game, and an Indiana Jones game, first franchise has most guns modelled around real guns with random shit tacked on to it, second franchise had nazis and outright real guns. But a game with guns that look nothing like real world guns and aren't based on them wasn't okay?
That's weird.

I imagine that might have something to do with the fact that all Star Wars and Indiana Jones movies are rated PG (or PG-13 in a few cases) which means they're technically okay for kids while Halo games are all rated M.

It's funny to think that the Halo games probably would have been rated T if it weren't for the inclusion of the flood.

But Reach has no flood and it's still M.

halo 5 has no blood, reach did, halo 5 is rated T, reach is rated M
really all it comes down to
