My man Hawk still looking cool
Who was that at the end? Leland?
Who was that at the end? Leland?
I think so, it looked like he had white hair. Admittedly, it's hard to tell with the effects though.
Spoilers! [sp]It turns out that her father is the one who killed her but the reason he did it was because of the possession of the spirit named Bob, from the Black Lodge. The spirit of Bob doesn't actually possess but instead seems to make an imitation and possess that imitation while the actual person goes insane trapped within the Black Lodge. Bob will leave the bodies of his hosts if they're either about to be caught or killed and willingly hunts down hosts who are actively searching for the Black Lodge, thus the final scene with Agent Cooper having Bob in the mirror and screaming 'HOW'S ANNIE?' as he laughs and smashes his head into the window.[/sp]
OK, thanks Sherlock.
Someone asked.
For someone who has never watched Twin Peaks, I'm interested. After playing Alan Wake, and reading up about the lore and everything behind it, I believe the devs said they were inspired by Twin Peaks. Guess I'll have to watch it at some point.

Season 2 ended on such a cliffhanger. I wonder how they're going to handle more than 20 years passing since then
I think so, it looked like he had white hair. Admittedly, it's hard to tell with the effects though.
Relevant spoiler: [sp] Bob Silva, the actor who played BOB, died from complications relating to AIDS in 1995. As BOB and his actions were so crucial to the series, the character's not being retired, but rather is being replaced by Ray Wise, who played Leland Palmer. In the series, this is probably going to be justified as BOB assuming anew form within the Black Lodge. [/sp]
Bummer that the actress who played the log lady passed away recently. Of course Jack Nance is dead as well, but [sp]there's no way Pete survived that explosion anyway[/sp] The character I'm most disappointed in not appearing in the next season in Sheriff Truman, since his actor retired. I loved his bromance with Cooper.
Something else I noticed: the building in the background of Michael Horse's interview looks like the remnants of the sawmill they based the Packard Sawmill off of in the opening credits (the sawmill's old office was actually used as the Sheriff's Office, so that might explain why)
[sp]there's no way Pete survived that explosion anyway[/sp]
Genuinely the only time I've ever been seriously pissed and disappointed about a character being killed off. And on such a cliffhanger too! I didn't know he died in real life either, kind of sad that they have to pick up without a lot of the characters. Missing Truman is also going to be really weird.
The first episode of Twin Peaks dragged on in the worst way, but once you got past that it was absolutely amazing.
The first episode of Twin Peaks dragged on in the worst way, but once you got past that it was absolutely amazing.
Every episode after the mystery is solved but the finale was pretty meh too. Great show tho, just finished binging it thanks to this thread. Favorite character was easily Hank, enjoyed every scene he was in immensely. Something about his character really stood out to me. Leland's actor was fucking amazing too.

Is Lynch still involved in this? I know he was having some disputes with the network.
Is Lynch still involved in this? I know he was having some disputes with the network.
They resolved their issues, and now they're doing more episodes than they originally planned as well.
Be sure to watch Fire Walk With Me as well, if you haven't already.
Wasnt Fire Walk With Me supposed to be awful though?
That gum you like is going to come back in style.
I really hope it has less of the shit filler stuff.
Wasnt Fire Walk With Me supposed to be awful though?
It's not awful but it contradicts a bunch of canonical elements and focuses way too much on Laura compared to the series that keeps you up to date on everyone.
Wasnt Fire Walk With Me supposed to be awful though?
It wasn't terrible, but compared to the show I didn't think it was particularly good either.
I really hope it has less of the shit filler stuff.
i just watched the whole show up until s2e11 and then i skipped right to the finale, was great
i just watched the whole show up until s2e11 and then i skipped right to the finale, was great
Yea, I did the same, tho I did skip through the storylines I actually liked Hank/Ben Horne/and some of Pete's I actually liked Donna in s1, but jesus fuck her character went downhill I'm sad Pete died (in real life and in the show) :( He was just a downright good guy, really great character.
i just watched the whole show up until s2e11 and then i skipped right to the finale, was great
Problem with that is you have no idea how [sp] Cooper found the black lodge, who Windom Earle is and what he has to do with Cooper, and why Cooper's so concerned about the welfare of some girl named Annie [/sp] [sp] And also Donna is suddenly Ben Horne's daughter, though even if you had watched the rest of s2, that plotline came out of nowhere and ended without really going anywhere [/sp]
The two things I want to see in this new season are lynch playing a character, and more backwards talking.
