Watched an interview with Penn a while ago. The entire series was pretty much them taking a point and pushing it regardless of the truth.
Wasn't BULLSHIT! proven to be bias even admitting they are bias to a few episodes?
I hope this turns out like the East Coast West Coast hip-hop feud, but with angry commentators instead.

Yes, they actually had an entire episode about calling Bullshit on themselves.

Well technically you could argue that they were biased whenever dealing with paranormal matters.
What matters is if they presented accurate facts and a coherent argument.
I think Maddox really let this go over his head. Which is ironic considering he can't tell Penn & Teller are purposely bias cause they take their side immediately, and make jokes of their subject matter even if they are in favor.
Just exactly like himself.
Also what happen? This episode came out like 5+ years ago, did Maddox really have nothing better to do but to basically necropost this.
Good video and all but isn't this a few years late to the punch?
I'm sorry but maddox is bullshit.
Good video and all but isn't this a few years late to the punch?
Yeah really. And even if it was relevant at this point, what did he expect? Has he never seen the show before? They take the piss out of everyone pretty much.
Based on what he wrote, looks like people have been asking him to respond for years now.

He probably just eventually wanted to clear it up from his side.
Yes, they actually had an entire episode about calling Bullshit on themselves.
I don't think they ever did, but Penn has said multiple times that him and Teller wanted to do a Bullshit on Bullshit.
He has also said multiple times that they were biased as hell, that was the point.
I remember he did say that they tried to make the person being interviewed make their point and look as good as possible doing it, but they didn't always have the footage. He specifically mentioned not wanting to seem like Michael Moore. They would also give the interviewee a copy of an episode and let them clearly know which side P&T were on.
Penn said that they'd go on anyway, even being completely aware of how foolish they might appear, because there's no such thing as bad press and they'd make more money. Even that asshole feng shui dude who reorganized a woman's house and was caught whispering to one of his workers "It still looks like shit"
If this "feud" is serious, I don't think either of them understand eachother, but Penn has said he'd get into fake feuds with David Copperfield because they both would get more publicity.

I almost agree'd with all they have to say untill there Wal mart episode still would love to see a live show though,.
I used to like Bullshit when I was like 16.
Now I can't stand the episodes.
I remember when people used to link these bullshit! videos here as credible sources.
Wasn't BULLSHIT! proven to be bias even admitting they are bias to a few episodes?
BULLSHIT! was never supposed to be non-biased, they confessed tons of times that they make it obvious what their views are and they have who they disagree with on purely for making fun of them
so was the show good or not im confused.
so was the show good or not im confused.
it was ok
Seems pretty disrespectful to not directly interview Maddox so he doesn't even get a chance to respond to their responses. They could at least be there for the interview and not dub over the producers in a recording studio post-interview.

Regardless of whether or not Maddox is right, they should at least give him a fair shot at giving his points too.

The show was sort of "young skeptics" starter guide.
so was the show good or not im confused.
The show has it's moments. I think their best episodes were the "9/11 conspiracy theories are bullshit", and the, "video games cause violence is bullshit" IMO. They pretty much nailed it on those.
A lot of them sorta sucked though..
Oh hey I used to live near Moorpark
I've got a friend who does the Civil War reenactment there every year. Did it once. Pretty great event.
Yes, they actually had an entire episode about calling Bullshit on themselves.
*: that's what they were going to do, but Showtime pretty much ensured those plans never happened as they didn't gracefully end the show. However, if they did gracefully end the show, a "The Bullshit of Bullshit!" would be the series finale.
The show was sort of "young skeptics" starter guide.
That's probably the best label you could give the show.
I discovered this show around the same time I discovered James Randi and it's good for the initial delve into scrutinizing everything you hear for accuracy. If it wasn't for shows like this to start me out, I'd probably still be buying fat packs of placebos from the health food store my mother works at.
That's probably the best label you could give the show.
They really push that Libertarianism. Shame that most of those guys only care about their pocket books.

What about the one about vaccines causing autism? That episode's always been a leading example.

I completely forgot about that one! It's been too many years, haha.

Uh, that's the one place you probably couldn't call them biased.
