Looks like it's gonna be real pretty. Reminds me of this similar animation done.
my fucking jesus
that's fucking insane
That's insane. The shot at about 29 second in where the focus goes between the glasses and the guys face looks so lifelike that It's hard to believe it's not actual film with some sort of filter on top.
It's rotoscoped, so it sorta is. Sorta.

Achieving this would be almost impossible without some form of rotoscopy. Like a painstakingly, frame-by-frame hand-drawn filter...
Beautiful.

but what is the film about, story-wise?
but what is the film about, story-wise?
just a biopic it seems
Oh dear fucking Jesus I just realized this is animation not digitally processed film. I can't comprehend it.
That's straight-up breathtaking.
No ETA unfortunately, but if and when it does make it to release, it could end up being one of my favorite movies of all time based on visuals alone. What an awesome concept, I hope it doesn't just fade into obscurity like so many promising projects do.
A Scanner Darkly and Waking life were both rotoscoped in flash with some tweening if you want a similar effect.
That channel called Every Frame A Painting should have an easy job with this one.
