Alan Watts over anything can make it feel emotionally jarring in some way. So can front-flipping bears though, so...
I thought it was a parody video :sbhj:
aww snap i've been waiting for this for a long time i played it at gdc a year back i liked it a lot, david oreiley is the bomb
Can somebody explain to me what the fuck did I just watch.
Can somebody explain to me what the fuck did I just watch.
it's a 'game' by david oreilly. google david oreilly, watch his videos, and all your questions will vanish. and be replaced by a million more. [editline]14th March 2017[/editline] start with this
What did I just watch edit: should've refreshed still curious about the game though
I don't think there's any goal to the game if that's what you're wondering. All I've ever seen about it seems to suggest it's just about messing around with stuff. david oreilly is fucking weird. god i have so many questions about what happened at the 7 minute mark
Yeah I just went to the website. No score, no purpose. Just a fun simulator. Hope it's decently priced. Synopsis for those curious:
Discover what it's like to be the universe in this beautiful interactive nature simulation. Everything is an interactive experience where everything you see is a thing you can be, from animals to planets to galaxies and beyond. Travel between outer and inner space, and explore a vast, interconnected universe of things without enforced goals, scores, or tasks to complete. Everything is a procedural, AI-driven simulation of the systems of nature, seen from the points of view of everything in the Universe. Learn to change what you are to create worlds within worlds within worlds, or let go any time to allow Everything to take over and produce a never ending documentary about the world you live in. Narrated by the inspiring philosophy of Alan Watts, and featuring a rich score from composer Ben Lukas Boysen, Everything will give you a new perspective on life.
Let the front-flipping bears be human.
Wait a minute didn't this guy do an episode of Adventure Time?
god i have so many questions about what happened at the 7 minute mark
I'm guessing that's how you get bears the size of a galaxy.
Hope it's decently priced.
it should be. his last game was this and it only cost a buck. granted this game seems a fair bit more in depth but still, I'm guessing this'll be cheap too. [editline]14th March 2017[/editline] o wait you can pre-order it on the PS4 store already. The price is $15. ehhh
Wait a minute didn't this guy do an episode of Adventure Time?
he did indeed, and it's great [editline]14th March 2017[/editline]
it should be. his last game was this and it only cost a buck. granted this game seems a fair bit more in depth but still, I'm guessing this'll be cheap too. That 10 minute trailer felt 1 hour long, so enthralling
Shit, I must get a big stash of marijuana for this.
This game is genius. Just look at all the budget-cutting techniques.
I got pumped for some goofy surreality when I recognized the eyes on that bear, then the flip got me hyped, but goddamn that took the best turn and still remained silly. Absolutely beautiful [editline]e[/editline] adding to postal's video, context for the animals
as cool as it looks I can't see it having any lasting play value... if it literally is just what you see, no goals or things to do, then it'll be like NMS - a giant sandbox with nothing to ultimately do in it. hopefully there's more than what is shown - I think heaps of discoverable easter eggs and just neat toys would really make this work.
I thought this was the game Leslie Benzies (from Rockstar Games) was now working on, but that one is called Everywhere. :v:
David O'Reilly is my favorite artist. This looks sick I love how the animals animate like in THE HORSE RAISED BY SPHERES
That was actually incredibly meaningful to me...so weird that it came in the form of a 10 minute trailer for a game on a console I don't own.
