Well... despite that cop I'd say that the rest of the department handled it properly. Man, what an asshole though, the fuck was he thinking?
God, she can not be the only person in the world to swear during an emergency call. That was very unprofessional of the cop.
> "There's no need to swear on 9-1-1!" > proceeds to call her an ass :v:
atleast the dad was okay, if the dad died that cop would've gotten some serious shit on his head
Ok, after he hung up, why didn't she just tell him her father fell? The next few calls sounded like she just called to pick a fight with the cop. They were both pretty dumb too. The cop doesn't even ask what the problem was.
Before people undergo training to be a 911 dispatcher, they're all sat in a room and have recordings of some seriously disturbing shit from real 911 calls played to them. Before they're done more than half leave every time because they can't stomach it. If this guy can't handle bad language, which is a fucking stupid concept to begin with, he shouldn't be a 911 dispatcher
That guy is so fucking fired.
Ok, after he hung up, why didn't she just tell him her father fell? The next few calls sounded like she just called to pick a fight with the cop.
Because she's in utter panic? If I was calling an ambulance and some guy would hang up on me while my dad might be dying I would go apeshit about it. Do you really expect someone in that situation to be calm and understanding?
Suspension? I want this guy fucking fired! [editline]3rd August 2012[/editline] especially since she was un-fucking-neededly arrested. What the fuck man?!
This is a case where someone deserves to be sued.
I could see this scenario word-for-word being a joke on Family guy or something.
no question he should be fired people have lost their jobs for far less serious things. Or at the very least never put on that sort of duty again.
I can't believe the officer hung up on a 911 call in the first place.
What if someone called him while someone was trying to kill them?
I like how when he reported the call to emergency services he, said that "SHE IS HOSTILE I COULDN'T FIGURE OUT WHAT SHE WANTS" like he's the innocent one here. What a fucking ASSHOLE.
DEATH PENALTY
People are silly
Next time on sensationalist headlines : "Its the police open up!" ... "Not with that attitude!"
what a dumbass copper
That fucker should be fired.
Wow really because she swore, of course she's going to swear she thought her father was dieing this guy is bloody dense. Why does it matter so much anyway, oh no not bad words I can't hear this! I'll hang up the call and risk someones life instead.
Imagine the panic. Her dad's life is in danger (as far as she knows) and the authority she is supposed to turn to hangs up on her and refuses to send an ambulance, at least at first. Then, she is arrested. The operator should have been fired.
ITT we all post the exact same comment with slightly different wording
What a fucking retard. I hope he gets put into solitary confinement for that kind of behavior. He almost killed someone!

Second of all, frantic people aren't thinking clearly. Surely that should have crossed your mind. So no, they both weren't "pretty dumb".

I can't put into words how stupid that officer is. Glad to here he got two weeks without pay and then fired because there are no excuses for what he did.
I once had to call the equivalent of 911 in my country because my neighbor cut off 98% of his index finger accidentally (it was just hanging by a bit of skin), they denied me an ambulance because and I shall quote "the finger wasn't completely cut off", then I asked them "Well, do you want me to fucking finish the job?", they hung up on me, then another neighbor who had a car heard his screams and drove him up to the hospital, later on the operator got his ass sued because of this.
