Pretty ok list, I would have considered the internet would be in the top 3. Considering I no longer need stragety guides or friends advice.
Everytime I try and play the video it freezes and crashes my browser.
These GT top ten countdowns are a waste of time.
Watching now.
Anticipations are already low.
List for those who don't wanna watch:
10. Mature Games
9. Wii/DS
8. Analog Stick
7. Xbox Live
6. Gameboy
5. Online gaming
4. CD/DVD/Blu-Ray
3. 3D (AKA Third Dimension, not the gimmick)
2. Coin-Op
1.Home consoles
Pretty shit list.
butthurt PC gamers incoming
I thought it was a pretty reasonable list. Maybe not in the exact same order, but all the things listed did make quite a huge impact on the gaming industry.

No.
Why would you even care on somebodies opinions on games, unless you are indecisive and co-dependent on other peoples ideas that you take them as fact.

dunno dude but like every thread is ruined by it
The DS and Wii made it cool to have "game parties" for 20+ year olds? What? I've never heard of a game party and I every much doubt my friends or parents would host such a thing.
i had a game party
we pretty much played wii for 20 minutes, got hammered, and then we watched Bottom.

Ok. I am guessing that was a gaming innovations/milestone?
How the hell is the DS a milestone? Touchscreen games have been around waaaay before the DS. I remember playing games on a touchscreen cellphone like 10 years ago.

And Xbox Live? Wasn't battle.net pretty much the same thing, just it came 5 years earlier?
funny how nintendo are in a lot of the milestones.
I don't agree on xbox live though.

Nintendo DS took the touchscreen gaming and made it playable, also it kinda opened the gate to "anyone can play video games"
Wait a second, aren't they forgetting something? Like modding? Without mods, a shitload of games like Team Fortress or Counter Strike wouldn't even exist.

again, the video was about what made the most impact, not "what came first"

It didn't revolutionize the whole gaming industry though. Only the PC Gaming world mostly.
Hahahaa evolutions in gaming ahahaha
that is so gay
They forgot one critical evolution in gaming that changed everything.
64 bit.

No, not really. It's just a natural extension of 32 bit. Nothing new here.
Shouldn't the earlier ones be closer to the top of the list because without the earlier ones you can't have the later ones so that makes them more important innovations?
XBL's place was Bullshit, Steam was First and was and still is better
The reason xbox live was on the list was because it was the online service that brought online gaming to the masses, same applies to the other entries.
woah woah woah
where are physics and the like
The video just keeps refreshing and playing the same annoying commercial over and over again.
GT and most gaming media outlets, are a bunch of idiotic casual gamers that make me want to put a bullet in my brain.
Edit:
The Escapist is the best gaming outlet in my eyes but I would have to say the Facepunch gaming community is close to my second best.

I was joking.
It praises Nintendo and consoles a bit too much.
Seems more like a 10 minute sucking off of Nintendo than a countdown
Internet should have been number 1
