So pretty.
Looks like absolute shit. 10/10
Holy shit. That weather simulation.
Puddle evaporation physx
The weather is pretty cool.
god i love watching tech demos
I wonder what would happen if you took the amount of money used to create this and instead gave it to a team of decent writers and artists so they could build a game based on an older engine like source or havok. Just a thought.
What is up with that jaggy lipsynch on the soldier dude though?

Just a thought.
Actually, you should support UE3/4 and Cryengine. Those devs can spend tons of money and time on the engine. Then, a game dev can just buy the engine and spend their resources on the gameplay and story. So we end up with the best of both worlds :D
I know, all that tech being wasted on something like ryse.
ryse doesn't look all that bad
ryse doesn't look all that bad
It's gameplay will be. That puddle evaporation is amazing.

sure its being used on Ryse now, but I can't wait for other next-generation games to use this engine. Cry Engine has been amazing since Crysis 1. Remember how mind-blowing crysis 1 was? And that was a long time ago. Just amazes me how far ahead Crysis 1 was in terms of technology than anything else.
This better have a realistic paint drying shader.
it's good...but not as good as source; the only engine where you can get realistic features such as 'vbsp.exe has stopped working' and not updating your shader model compliance for about 7 years and counting

Looks complicated how everything is made
Holy fuck, that shading is incredible
The GPU weather scene made me think, Half-life 2 if it were done now for some reason.
man those fuckin puddles
The GPU weather scene made me think, Half-life 2 if it were done now for some reason.
i also got an hl2 vibe from that for some reason
What I particularly liked about the weather simulations was that it looks like we're approaching the uncanny valley in terms of graphical realism. I wonder how long it'll be before we can no longer distinguish between ingame screenshots and photographs...
I know, all that tech being wasted on something like ryse.
press x to cry
For those who didn't know, the free CryEngine SDK is getting an update with these features this week! (And for those who have used the free sdk before, they removed the crydev login crap!!!!!) All according to offical sources
i also got an hl2 vibe from that for some reason
I guess it's because the atmosphere is moody like in most of hl2. It would be a dream come true for hl3 to be next gen in visuals. HL series already has this unique atmosphere and with all that shiny graphics it would be breathtaking.
Every game would have these graphics if CE wasn't so fucking expensive. You can see why they charge so much though.
