I forgot that Febreeze did those dumb "real people, not actors!" bullshit that Chevy commercials do too, only they're not as nearly as annoying as the Chevy ones.
I have to wonder who they think they're fooling when they say "huhhhhuhh real people!" in the commercial.

Those Chevy commercials are some of the most bizarre shit I've ever seen in my life.
Like, here, we took these five people into a MASSIVE, CAVERNOUS building full of enormous high-powered mechanisms that reveal our cars to them in slick appealing ways, and we had to bring them here under the pretense of... ??????????
Don't worry guys, they're REAL PEOPLE! Not some shitty sub-human actors! REAL people!
Never mind the totally contrived, jarring fantasy situation we've put them into. What matters it that they're real people who will say about five words during the course of this advertisement.

"guess which car won the top safety award five years in a row"
"please let me go I need to go home to my family"
"I SAID GUESS WHICH CAR"
I think a part of me died inside when I saw the "rate this car using only emojis" ad.
Lord help me.

I'm pretty sure they were one of the first if not the first to hop on this awful trend. I remember seeing these dumb Febreeze commercials long before any car ones.

They aren't even safety awards, they're JD Power Initial Quality awards. Basically their cars have the least amount of problems...for the first 90 days after delivery. That's it. It doesn't cover anything mechanically in the end, it only covers things like infotainment and cabin fittings.
