Yes he is. He's Gucci, he's notoriously the hardest working man in the game right now. He worked poor Metro Boomin to sleep recently working so hard on his album that he only stopped (to release it) because his producer passed out.
These guys are rockstars, it's an act. I've seen Offset on a stream yelling at someone for going live, because they dont fuck with live stuff when they're not in character. Imagine that, somebody busts out a phone and all of sudden you have act like Gucci Man or your label might drop you.
If you don't think trap is self aware, you're missing the joke that even people who don't speak English are in at this point

Yes, but it requires some explanation.
Snapchat. (some relevant) rappers post on snapchat pretty much every day.
But since social media is [I]so[/I] prevalent, it's replaced traditional marketing. There are groups like Migos, that never drop character on camera. It's hard to explain because their personas look real, but just keep in mind that for some 'rockstar' rappers like them, they might literally get fired if a meme went around about them not being as cool as they act.
They're abusing the thing about social media where if they [I]only[/I] post when they're riding jetskis wearing expensive jewelry, then you think their whole lives are like that. Like I said, livestream around them and you're gunna get a rather stern talking to from Offset when you stop. Offset is a business genius, don't let his goofball persona fool you.

But if you want to follow other artists that don't really have a filter, I can recommend these guys. These guys are known to be up to stuff on snapchat. It's hard to show since Snaps delete every day but you can just follow Comp channels if you don't actually care to have snap.

He's doing 'edgelord' as a rap gimmick so its easy to not take him seriously. But its also what his fans want him do, so you cant really blame anybody for being as edgy as they're asked to be. I mean that video really sums up his character "pnb deserve all the love that comes his way he's one of the most genuine people I in the industry" "GLOW. GLOW. CHLAMIDIA. GLAOW. Also yea, I mean he does have problem with aggression and went to jail for that, but to fair he put them on blast when got out saying that even he wasn't saying "free x" because he 'shoulda been in there'. Basically he's admitted guilt for his actions in is music but cant out loud without creating voice clips that will make headlines and fuck up his image.
