Osmosis Jones is one of my favourite movies from when I was a kid. Such a unique idea. Shame the gross-out humour is lost on me now
I loved this movie but god damn the real-life scenes are so cringey.
I did the drinking game at 7:00. My life has never been the same.
That guy does a DAMN fine Chris Rock impression.
I liked the TV Cartoon spin off.
This movie has the best villain. [editline]21st July 2015[/editline] [Sp]Bill Murray's eating habits. [/sp]
"Bald Al Yankovic," that was great.
That magic school bus actually got me.
Doug got on the movie for its use of buddy cop cliches, but to me that was part of the joke, because they're blood cells that are acting like cops over body-related problems and 'crimes'. I do agree that the live-action segments are pretty dull (something my brother and I often joked about while watching), but it's the animated segments that really make the movie. I really wish they would have done a sequel.
Yeah, due to the move into a teenage kid, it dealt with real messages such as "stop smoking for yo girl" or "fucking exercise or you'll get fat"
It really was the perfect concept for teaching young viewers about the human body and growing up. The concept of personified micro-organisms in our body always helped me understand biology and things like sex ed a little better, at that age.
Those inside out liveaction bits were super cringeworthy and as always, Nostalgia Critic would be better if Doug didn't try to use it as a platform for his amateur directing
Doug got on the movie for its use of buddy cop cliches, but to me that was part of the joke, because they're blood cells that are acting like cops over body-related problems and 'crimes'
This is exactly it. It's great that it uses so many buddy cop cliches (and cliches from cop/crime movies in general, the club and sauna hangouts for example) because it's not your usual buddy cop movie.
I was waiting for the sex ed episode where Ozzy and Drix visit the sperm factory, and I was thoroughly disappointed.
Well...
This guy seems like kind of an asshat. :T
I loved this movie but god damn the real-life scenes are so cringey.
Even as a kid I hated those scenes so much. It's Bill Murray's worst role... everything is just so slow and ugh... it doesn't fit his personality.
I used to watch Ozzy and Drix all the time as a little kid. I didn't even know there was a movie until a couple of years ago.
Even as a kid I hated those scenes so much. It's Bill Murray's worst role... everything is just so slow and ugh... it doesn't fit his personality.
I feel like you could quite easily make the movie a lot better if you take the real life scenes and just cut them down to 3-4 second chunks of whatever he's doing to his body, then jumping right back to the animated stuff. Keep the dialogue to a minimum, the gross-out gags to...maybe non-existent.
As usual dougs shitty jokes are way worse than anything from the movie.
I'm not entirely sure why, but the animation style here reminds me of the Buzz Lightyear cartoon. Does anyone else remember that?
As usual dougs shitty jokes are way worse than anything from the movie.
Between Demo Reel and Doug's new game show, I'm pretty sure that Doug doesn't actually know anything about comedy.

I really miss that old show, Disney has sadly erased pretty much all traces of it.

Fucking good TV show for what it was, kinda surprised they have rebooted the damn thing.
I don't see why reviews have to have an underlying skit in order for it to be funny when most of us just want to see the damn review Hell, the OP even has to timestamp when the actual review starts because none of us care about the skits.
The thing is, this is also an 'exaggerated review' Doug himself has some that some of them are not his exact view of the movie and is up played for the video and the character he plays. After his 'final video' (the first Scooby Doo movie I think?) he said he didn't dislike the movie as much as the 'Critic' did in the video. If you want his true opinion on stuff, watch his non-critic videos.
The thing is I liked his older reviews even though they were exaggerated, because they didn't have a whole lot of stuff you had to wait/cringe through to get to the meat of the video, and there weren't these contrived plots going on between parts of the review that just cluttered everything and really had no payoff.
In case you don't like the skits and didn't know this series existed.
