Who cares about stupid hats and shit, I think the bigger problem with Portal 2 is how short it supposedly is.
Oh no, not another item store.
how are cosmetic items going to ruin 2 player coop?
how are cosmetic items going to ruin 2 player coop?
Cause it uh...em....it makes you jelly of someones cool shit
This was a really big letdown for me, when I saw the "Robot costumization" thing I thought it would be an ingame skin editor Trackmania wise, thought it would be rad. Then I saw it was an item store and I was sad.

I really don't get the fuss about this. It's in Portal 2 because it's obviously successful in Team Fortress 2. It doesn't change gameplay, you can easily ignore it, and it's all just additional content. Why do people get worked up about stuff that doesn't actually affect them.
Who cares about stupid hats and shit, I think the bigger problem with Portal 2 is how short it supposedly is.
It isn't short at all. Just the right length for the amount of gameplay it offers, and I'm sure Valve will release more free DLC for it in the future.
how are cosmetic items going to ruin 2 player coop?
The question is exactly the oppostite - why the fuck would I pay nine bucks for a cosmetic item solely for my friend to see it along a couple of levels? Money. That's why.
I made one of these about the golden wrenches, before trading, and the engineer update Poor Hitler
I felt sad for Hitler. He's right, Portal 2 has no place for item stores, let alone cosmetic items as only 1 other player will see it.
[tab]First they came for the casual players, and I did not speak out -- Because I was not a casual player. Then they came for the item traders, and I did not speak out -- Because I was not an item trader. Then they came for the portal players, and I did not speak out -- Because I wasn't a portal player. Then they came for me -- and there was no one left to speak for me.[/tab] But my issue isn't the same as others', it's the fact that this is now a concrete standard. Everyone is going to be paying more and more from now on just to have the full game, and companies now have an excuse to withold parts of the game and make you unlock them with money, because it's now a standard of the industry due to Call of Duty and Team Fortress 2. I, personally, do not want to have to buy new items in Minecraft or additional levels in Starcraft II, or weapon upgrades in MoH.
no but for reals guys is it as short as the internet has told me
I can understand if you don't have any friends or something, but the game has a second campaign. The coop mode.
