Complete with cheesy music!
So hot
I can just smell the fumes now.
Oh wow, I think the college I went to had one of those exact machines. I never got to use it but I did see a live demonstration of it in action. Also, those tiny surface mount resistors are nightmarish to solder on manually; have a jittery hand and screw it up time after time. At least there was that method where you use the solder paste and just bake the whole damn PCB in the oven unit.
-snip dammit Sethorion- I want these I have to work with just a basic iron
I'll fetch the tissues...
wow rulebreaker!
it's relaxing in a weird way
it's relaxing in a weird way
I found myself falling asleep, but the soldering entranced me somehow. I couldn't stop watching. I need to find more videos of this.
i need all of these tools
I never knew about that method at 3:20 for soldering surface mounted shit, I always wondered how you would do it manually in a proper way.
Oh god yes
This kills the chip.
I'll never look at my heat gun and pliers the same way again.
So much fucking rosin.
I was doing some hot soldering action in the lab today, the music plays in real life too.
Surgercial tools for operating on Robots
This gave me lead.
PACE have a whole series of videos on basic soldering techniques as well: They may be old but most of the stuff in there is still used today.
Proper soldering music. 1:58 jesus christ
why doesn't ron jeremy have his own line of soldering equipment?
it's relaxing in a weird way
For you.
Doing it by hand? That's absolutely barbaric.
I always found it interesting how the solder perfectly flows onto just the contacts, without spilling over onto the board
i have never touched a soldering iron before, but this looks cool as fuck
I always found it interesting how the solder perfectly flows onto just the contacts, without spilling over onto the board
surface tension and capillary effect I think. Fascinating shit though.
i have never touched a soldering iron before, but this looks cool as fuck
I touched one and burnt myself :( Also this one time my partner and I were trying to solder a Capacitor onto a Circuit Board and it was pretty hard to get it to sit in place probably on the desk but the wire was quite long so we decided I would just hold the wire up so he could solder it without it falling out, we didn't think that the heat would instantly travel up the wire and burn my fingers.
For you.
A perfect example of someone who doesn't know how to solder.
