What I gather is that the product genuinely works but they're keeping the exact how a secret while providing vague science blabber because they have to say [I]something[/I]. Could be along the lines of 'the brain determines the correct visual color when overlap in the spectrum is weakened so that the color isn't just assumed to be the overlap" idk.

They're fairly "cheap", considering what they do.
The ability to see colours not ever seen before must be a psychedelic experience for colourblind people.
These videos never cease to make me appreciate how I was lucky enough to be born without something like this, makes my heart melt whenever I watch these

They filter out the overlapping colors.
The cells in their eyes separate colors just like ours do, just there's some overlap, causing certain colors to appear as the same.
If you block as much of the overlapping spectrum as possible, then just those wavelengths that they CAN still detect clearly will enter the eye.

In my head, most people's vision is so much more vibrant and awesome than mine. But then again, I don't know any better so it's not exactly hard to deal with. If I put these glasses on, maybe I would become really depressed...
Also the fact I need to wear eyeglasses as it is would make it a bit difficult. :v:

It costs more than a monthly wage for a person here. Not very cheap for us.

I wonder if one day, trichromats (people with 'normal' colour vision) will be able to see in the same way as tetrachromats (people with an extra colour cone in their eye, allowing them to see new colours)? I'd love to be able to see new colours I'd never seen before, it just sounds like such a surreal concept.
It's like those glasses from They Live.
Interested on how this technology could be used in training the brain to see colors normally like the inverted eye glasses experiment.

Apparently they'd work well for me, particularly with my red/green colour-blindness
I got my dad a pair of these for father's day
His reaction was similar, it was awesome. I actually first heard about the glasses on here

i stared at a concrete bridge for like an hour and was amazed at how vividly grey it was, then i rubbed my face against it
It makes you realize how much we take for granted in terms of our senses. Being colorblind in any form would suck, and it's great to see someone given a gift like that, that changes their whole world for the better so easily.
Science rules.
I would like to try these, but according to the test I'm an extreme deutan and there's like a 50% chance of them working OR it will take weeks and weeks (thus voiding the return-policy) for me to start noticing the difference.

No difference at all visible for me in that picture when moving the lense-thing around.
I have a slight colorblind overlap that has always bothered me. Certain shades of pale green or pink look the same to me, as well as some purples, but other than that reds and greens are pretty different and vibrant. I bet these glasses would help a lot
It's incredible how much shit we take for granted. Almost no one stops to just... look at the grass, or the trees. I like to step outside and admire nature sometimes.
It's also incredible that people have found a way to do this.
