Basically, any song that took you a few listens to understand exactly what the song is about. One of the most popular is 'Pumped Up Kicks' by Foster The People.

It has a relatively happy beat, and it took me a few listens to actually hear the lyrics for what they were. An illusion to a teenager shooting up a party.

Lyrics:
Robert's got a quick hand. He'll look around the room, he won't tell you his plan. He's got a rolled cigarette, hanging out his mouth he's a cowboy kid. Yeah he found a six shooter gun. In his dads closet hidden in a box of fun things, and I don't even know what. But he's coming for you, yeah he's coming for you.
[Chorus x2:]All the other kids with the pumped up kicks you'd better run, better run, outrun my gun. All the other kids with the pumped up kicks you'd better run, better run, faster than my bullet.
Daddy works a long day. He be coming home late, yeah he's coming home late. And he's bringing me a surprise. 'Cause dinner's in the kitchen and it's packed in ice. I've waited for a long time. Yeah the slight of my hand is now a quick pull trigger, I reason with my cigarette, And say your hair's on fire, you must have lost your wits, yeah.
[Chorus x2:]All the other kids with the pumped up kicks you'd better run, better run, outrun my gun. All the other kids with the pumped up kicks you'd better run, better run, faster than my bullet.
[Whistling]
[Chorus x3:]All the other kids with the pumped up kicks you'd better run, better run, outrun my gun. All the other kids with the pumped up kicks you'd better run, better run, faster than my bullet.
Another one that I like a lot is 'We Will Become Silhouettes' by The Postal Service.

Which is about a guy locked in his home with stockpiled supplies because it's dangerous to go outside. Speculated to either be a virus or radiation. The video is especially sad because the family in hiding decide to go out on a picnic that will surely kill them, having likely given up hope. It's also possible that the song and video coincide with one another and the family wrote the song in preparation for said picnic.
Lyrics:
I've got a cupboard with cans of food,
filtered water, and pictures of you
and I'm not coming out until this is all over.
And I'm looking through the glass
Where the light bends at the cracks
And I'm screaming at the top of my lungs
Pretending the echoes belong to someone
Someone I used to know
And we become silhouettes when our bodies finally go
ba ba ba ba
I wanted to walk through the empty streets
And feel something constant under my feet,
But all the news reports recommended that I stay indoors
Because the air outside will make
Our cells divide at an alarming rate
Until our shells simply cannot hold
All our insides in,
And that's when we'll explode
(And it won't be a pretty sight)
And we'll become silhouettes when our bodies finally go
ba ba ba ba
So what are some other songs that you know?

Always seemed so innocent to me...

The song is about a rapist.
I never noticed how dark and disgusting this was

Bohemian Rhapsody. It's about murder, and getting the Chair.
Nothing really matters
I Will Possess Your Heart by Death Cab for Cutie

A song about a stalker in an unrequited love.
Lyrics kick in around the 4:30 mark.
Don't Follow by Alice in Chains

A song about a man who lost everything to alcoholism (or drugs)
Blurry by Puddle of Mudd is about the actual singer losing his son in real life through court. Not really dark, but it is depressing and I feel bad for him.

Here's a classic. This one's a favorite at weddings, etc. But what most people don't realize is, it's about a guy who's stalking someone. The guy wrote it after his girlfriend broke up with him and this song was more or less meant to threaten her. Listen to the lyrics with that in mind and it suddenly because really dark.

Even though the melody sounds evil as hell, but the voice sounds like any girl.
And the lyrics are really freaky and dark
I think my friend said, "I hear footsteps."
I wore my black and white dress to the
birthday massacre, birthday massacre, birthday
I wore my black and white dress
I think my friend said, "Stick it in the back of her head."
I think my friend said, "Two of them are sisters."
"I'm a murder tramp, birthday boy", I think I said
"I'm gonna bash them in, bash them in", I think he said
Then we wished them all a happy birthday
We kissed them all goodnight. Now he chases me to my room,
chases me to my room, chases me
In my black and red dress
I think my friend said, "Don't forget the video."
I think my friend said, " Don't forget to smile."
"You're a murder tramp, murder tramp", I think he said
"You're a murder boy, birthday boy", I think I said
Many different interpretations.
I love this song.

Sinking into the ocean is a metaphor for falling into depression after his divorce, iirc.

The vibes of insanity and not being able to accept things with this song.

sounds so romantic
too bad it's about meeting a girl at a club, taking her home and electrocuting her in the bathtub and then keeping the body

TLC Waterfalls. The song has a slow sad vibe, but I was too young when I first heard it.
Now I know it is about a mother who warns her son not to go out and then he is killed in a drug deal.
And a man who gets AIDS and doesn't know it.
