The new planet of the apes movies show how you do reboots. Take notes Hollywood.
Damn I'm excited for this one. The last two have been great surprises with how good they were.

And sequels for that matter. To me, Dawn and War of the Planet of the Apes don't feel like contrived, money-milking sequels but rather logical progressions in the overall story. I'm certainly excited for this.

Also, they ditch the human characters that nobody cared about and focus on Caesar. Also, they're never morally black and white. By blockbuster standards, they're really fucking deep and take a lot of risks.
I'm as stoked for this as I was for Force Awakens & Rogue One. I grew up on the originals with Roddy McDowall and seeing the series get a proper reboot with the attention and respect it deserves was great to see. I'd like to see at least two more films after this. 4th would be set in the far future long after Ceasar, and then 5th would wrap things up somehow. (Maybe something to do with the Nuke at the end of Beneath the Planet of the Apes)?
I'm there opening night. Period.
So proud to have worked on the VFX for this film!
These movies are way, way better than they need to be.
First one was pretty good, but the second was really fucking fun, and this one looks like it's going to be a heart-string tugger.
Really hyped
I'm confused, if humans are looking to exterminate apes in this world, why are there some fighting with them?
Sounds like my dad and I made a mistake in not seeing the second movie.
Well, should probably go see that. If I'm not lazy enough :u

Clearly not all humans are assholes.

Oh wait, you meant why are some apes fighting alongside the assholes. Brainwashing or something maybe.
Watched the trailer again, what the Soldiers are chanting is a reference to the second film [sp]"We are the beginning and the end." The Nuke the mutants had in the second film was the called the Alpha-Omega Bomb.[/sp]
