This was about a week before I moved out of res last year. My neighbor thought it would be a good idea to dispose of his old TV by dropping it down the stairwell...
It was.
The video may be lacking in the video department but the audio is golden.
Now on reddit:

The carnage was still there when the semester ended.
Watched that like 6 times, thats great.
You know, I instinctively cringe every time some semi-expensive/useful electronic item is dropped from a great height.
Uh... What if it landed on someone?
Wouldn't be laughing then, hm?

Someone had gone down to the bottom to make sure it was clear. The doors on that level can't open from the outside so it was perfectly safe.

More like a fucking implosion :eng101:
I'd be scared of like the tv going off the center and hitting the railing of one of the other floors.
This video has the potential to go viral.
that was great

Yeah if Ray William Talentless needs to fill 30 seconds of his stupid "show".
Were those Kiwi accents?
Must have made one hell of a mess to clean up.
HOL SHIT!
That was awesome.

It would be nice but I highly doubt that.

Nope. Southern Ontario, Canada.
Sounded like the Minecraft TNT explosion
♫ They will see us dropping TVs from such great heights... ♫
This is so much more awesome than it has any right to be.
I hope everyone knows that the technology that is in those old TVs are MUCH MUCH more complicated than LCDs or Plasmas.
How many stories was that?

Or let me do it for you.
Very cool sound.
If you had used this, the sound would have been so much more awesome:

People thinking about rating me 'Dumb' most likely don't know what this is, and/or incorrectly assume I have a poor understanding of this topic.

Then it would have been multiple explosion noises
