Other than the whole "stormtroopers can't hit anything" meme, I thought they were supposed to be the Elite troops of the empire. Saying clones are better than them doesn't seem to make much sense to me, they were just regular soldiers pretty much.
I'm not entirely sure about bringing some of them back and making them the 'good guys' either. That doesn't seem to really fit in with how they're portrayed in the movies. Even the ones that liked the Jedi they were with just carried out order 66 without questioning it.

If you take a close look in the trailers for the upcoming episodes, [sp]they have the chip removal scars too[/sp].

Depends on the Stormtrooper, but it's established in current canon that most of them are just conscripts who never had to shoot at anyone until the Rebellion. In Rebels the more elite stormies have black pauldrons and usually serve as an escort to the major VIPs, like [sp]Tarkin and Darth Vader[/sp]

Some of them are also clones, but more random / generic ones rather than the Fett clones that originally led the forces due to them rebelling and trying to take over Kamino at one point.

Actually, the clone rebellion is not canon anymore if I recall correctly.

I would consider it a spoiler for now since Season 2 is probably going to tie into this episode in some way, since the Kanan comic did, in [sp]which it was revealed that the chip would actively repress memories and emotions upon the trigger events being activated, but can be overpowered briefly by a clone's own will power[/sp].
Its a shame they have that hyper aging thing, actual clone survivors is a nice concept to explore without them all being incredibly old.

There are some clones here and there in various post RotS novels and the Kanan comic though.
