I agree with microtransactions are blurring the line between f2p and dlc. Its getting pretty ridiculous. There are some f2p games that that have so many micro transactions that even if you ended up shelling up the same money you do for an AAA title you still wouldn't get all the content.
Microtransactions in F2P games for Cosmetics and small temporary boosts are the way to go. Splitting the game up into 20 different Microtransactions you have to buy to play, is not
