There's a little girl inside us all. [editline]31st October 2012[/editline] Wait
right there with you darling
Seconding this. I'm getting tired of the number of people telling me I should go register and vote for election day when local polls are showing the state is strongly leaning towards political party blue instead of political party red. I'm tired of all the liberals who keep telling me my vote does make a difference, and then I shut them up by saying if I was going to vote I would vote for party red instead of party blue. Edit: Unless you live in a swing state, why vote? Edit: I need to make a FP box factory.
Seconding this. Edit: Unless you live in a swing state, why vote?
You do release no state will ever swing if the minority doesn't vote? On one hand I agree with your friends because you should express your opinion in the Democratic process, but at the same time, the fact that you don't understand this very fundamental concept makes me concerned with your decision making abilities. Go ahead and use your ability to vote, but before 2016 rolls around, you should probably contemplate what voting means.

Even if I were to vote on the 6th for who I want to win, since it's a third party vote there's no way I'll have my vote mean anything since there will be maybe 15% at best for independent. Also I'm not a fan of Jury Duty.

If you want to feel good, delude yourself into thinking your voting mattered at all, then go ahead and vote with confidence. However, voting is mostly inconsequential to the system. If it was truly possible to get change through the election process, then elections would be outlawed.
"The oppressed are allowed once every few years to decide which particular representatives of the oppressing class are to represent and repress them."
p. sure yawmwen is a Marxist.
