I recently got back from an 11 day trip there, and edited a short video of my experience. I'd love it if you checked it out. Hopefully it'll inspire some people to check out this superb part of the world!
I've been to Iceland! I loved it!
I prefer Sainsbury's.
I think I'm more impressed by the quality of your video than the actual scenery. And I'm not saying the scenery is bad either.

I left my state a couple years ago, it was neat.
Going to be going to Iceland and then the Outer Hebrides in a month, shit will be cash Though this video makes the pictures and videos I haven't even taken yet look like crap by comparison
great video and what's the music you used?- It's a great track to get inspired with.
3:00 that was geysir, right? looks like we both climbed up to the top :v:
3:00 that was geysir, right? looks like we both climbed up to the top :v:
Indeed! But the shot is from a quadcopter actually ;) Also the track is called High by Peking Duk!
Love the video! How did you create the moving timelapse at 02:15?

Seems like everyone is going to Iceland nowadays, even MaxOfS2D has his little travel vlogs with 3 days spent in Iceland
Facepunch meetup in Reykjavik is go?
Love the video! How did you create the moving timelapse at 02:15?
Cheers! It was done in After Effects to simulate a nodal (tripod) pan. The trick is not to just move the image. I turned it into a 3D layer and applied a lens distortion to warp it a little, then panned over it with a 3d camera. Not perfect, but it works!
Absolutely gorgeous!
Did you get to see CCP and the statue they made?
didn't they ban strip clubs there.?
ok sold, im going to iceland next winter or summer break
didn't they ban strip clubs there.?
They also tried to ban web porn it didn't work
Did you get to see CCP and the statue they made?
I didn't! Not really a fan of Eve Im afraid. Also in other news, the video is at 3.5k hits and Ive got no idea where its all coming from... but I did get an email from GoPro and they want to purchase the rights to the footage! Yaaaaaaassssssss.
The time lapses are amazing. Also, sell the rights. And your footage might be on a GoPro commercial.
Cheers. Aye we're sorting it just now, the way it works is I give them the rights and then they add my footage to their library and I get paid if it's used in any online media at a rate of £600 per 1 million hits. Then if it's shown in any TV ads they pay £1500. Not bad really, I'm sure if it did get used they could top 1 million hits on any video. I just dont know if it would actually get used, but Ive got nothing to lose. The footage still belongs to me.

It was pretty awesome
Beautiful video! I recognize Skogafoss at 2.30. I can only agree and say Iceland is well worth visiting. Edit: Oh, I now remember all the waterfalls from Fimmvorduhals down to Skogar, with the coastline in the distance. So pretty.

For those wondering
Shot on a GoPro Hero3+ Black Edition, Canon 650D, Canon 450D.
Waded out into the river to get the video, also took the thumbnail photograph there. Took this snap after filming too, was fucking freezing by this point! [t]http://i.imgur.com/ardRGBc.jpg[/t]
I'd go and stay for the whole summer. Then go back to warmer places like south iberia or canaries/madeira/sicily/cote d'azur/grece for the winter. I'd keep doing that for some time with different locations throughout Europe. I still have to figure out how to make money in the process.
Those cuts you did with the pool and the ocean were a pleasure to watch. I know that was a small part of the video, but it was my favorite part.
