Holy shit 1961 is even worse.
That was really cool, makes me wonder;
why the FUCK did we have to see what a nuclear explosion was like so many times?
Remind me not to go swimming in the pacific any time soon!
launch detected

Don't go swimming in the pacific any time soon
snip my math sucks
this is why everything causes cancer

radiation is healthy for the body, why else would the government be detonating this many nukes
That was really cool, makes me wonder;

Yea really, especially when the first two were launched against an entire country and ended the conflict before it could even start.
What really makes me wonder is what about the radiation? 20 years over a thousand nuclear warheads were detonated. And no ones experience any kind of side effect? I realize they do it in locations away from people, but surely this stuff gathers, travels, etc.

I'm sure the effects are stereo-typically exaggerated. But still, with the size of nuclear bombs possible nowadays, I'm sure there would be side effects if used in a civilian occupied area.
holy fuck
all those bombs on california
i think i saw around 2 british bombs on california too
i was expecting chernobyl at 4-1986

Actually closer to Nevada.
Remind me not to go to the desert in Nevada/New Mexico/Arizona.
[editline]20th May 2012[/editline]
and the brits were totally using other countries to test their nukes since there is no room in the UK
I feel bad for Nevada after seeing that.
Also, there's Iran all "B-But we have a nuke too..."

That was India I think
I think this proves Australia will not escape a nuclear war, the British will nuke them first.
So many tests yet no sharp HD footage of any of them in public.

You mean the country with the moon and crescent in 1998 alongside India's explosions? That's Pakistan.
That was really cool, makes me wonder;

it's called the cold war
So many tests yet no sharp HD footage of any of them in public.
There is actually a lot of footage provided by atomcentral:
That was really cool, makes me wonder; why the FUCK did we have to see what a nuclear explosion was like so many times?
It's done to test different types of payloads, trigger mechanisms, and to observe the effects that an explosion could have on a population center from certain distances.
Do keep in mind many, many of the later tests were underground or not entirely detonations.
This is fucking insanity.
We're obsessed with destroying each other.
Woo! High score!
America wins
Thanks for fucking up MY world. Actually. You older generations can keep it, i'll just make a new, functional world over here. Thanks.
i was expecting chernobyl at 4-1986
that wasn't a nuclear explosion. It wasn't even an explosion.
The reactor blew up, which is kind of an explosion.
And the reactor handles some nuclear shit so.
It kind of is a nuclear explosion.
