It's not exactly graphic or too gruesome, but still unnecessarily dangerous and too much. Both bike passengers are okay with minor-moderate bruises, luckily nothing too serious.

To be fair, how else would you stop them? Any solution I can think of just ends up with them falling off the bike anyways.

To be honest, I'm in a mixed bag over this. While it is really dangerous to perform such action, with the haste the overspeeding bikers "work" with they are simply a very big and lethal liability on the road and must be stopped.
Yeah I don't see any better solution than waiting for them to slow down and bumping into them so they fall of the bike. Which is exactly what the police did here.
And I wouldn't call this "ramming", it's more of a bump really.
The motorcyclist was being a fucking idiot by going so fast, endangering both himself, the person with him, and everyone else on the road. I see nothing wrong with this, doesn't seem like they had a better option at that point.
Why didnt they just shoot him in the tire?
Do you have any idea how hard it is it to aim at a moving target that small, from a moving vehicle, while driving said vehicle...at night?
Why didnt they just shoot him in the tire?
I sure hope this was satire

I think that was a joke.
I hope that was a joke.
Why didnt they just shoot him in the tire?
Why didn't they tase the tire instead?
Did this happen a few days ago? There were tonnes of police chasing someone near the place I live, they have done multiple circles around the area.
I cackled like a fucking maniac seeing that. Speeding people ought to just be fucking magdumped and left in the ditch with their wrecked vehicle. The lives of children, dog, men and women were saved that night.

Gatling guns, or punt guns do the job well too.
An armored police SUV with a giant one bore shotgun loaded with nice big rubber bullets would work wonders, actually. Put a shovel or another ramming/scooping element on the front for bikers.
Why didn't they tase the tire instead?
just drive close to the bike and slash the tire with a knife lol, ezpz

They should learn from the UK police and use batons to stop the bike.
Man you guys are p bad at detecting sarcasm.
Oh no those poor criminals
It was a fairly high speed to eject people with no real protective gear at, but really if the chase has been going on a while or they are being extremely reckless it's perfectly justified. Generally ramming a motorcycle could be considered overkill, as they don't pose a high risk to other motorists and just stopping them from fleeing is not enough of a reason to ram.
But if they are constantly cutting off and otherwise endangering people it's a perfectly reasonable measure.

A motorcycle going 230 Km/H is not safe neither for other motorists nor pedestrians. What are you on about. Ramming these cunts only serves them justice

Stick the batons in the spoke!
Here's a longer video of it.

Sorry but if you ride a motorcycle without protective gear it's your own fucking fault if you get hurt when you crash. A heavy leather jacket and heavy duty pants are like, a bare minimum.

Could you possibly translate a bit of what they're talking about after they get arrested?
Could you possibly translate a bit of what they're talking about after they get arrested?
woman is speaking english anyway
Guy is going "*something something* fallin at 100 km/h could have easily killed us both"
Cameraman goes "well why'd you run away tho?"
"I escaped cause, uh, personal reasons. Yeah, personal reasons" (I think he\s just saying "omad põhjused" right?)
Cameraman: "And that's reason enough to run from the cops?"
"Yknow, sometimes it is a good reason, yeah."
the rest is just recounting the accident and chase
[editline]24th April 2017[/editline]
The "personal reason" is probably cause he was biking without a license lol
Instead of violence, did the police ever think of using rational logic and debating with their fellow man??
I mean this is kinda akin to complaining that you got hurt being tackled by police because you were running away from them.
Idk what they thought would happen, they are running from police, speeding over sidewalks and crap, if they are being dangerous and the only option they leave the police is to try and knock them off the bike, what do they really expect? Speeding away on a bike isn't a get out of jail free card just because the police are going to have to endanger your life if they want to stop you.
That passenger trying to spin it off as the cops being in the wrong is just laughable. "Who is responsible?!" You, you dumb fuck, and the guy driving.
The fact that they got arrested is the cops fault because they didn't allow them to get away instead.
local news keep saying how "controversial" this is but I really don't get it
maybe that fuckface shouldn't be racing around town without a license?
or should laws just be ignored until the moron gets someone killed?
he got exactly what he asked for
BMW S1000RR? Geez, that thing is fast as shit. Cops are lucky he was a bad rider otherwise that would have been one hell of a chase.
They didn't only get rammed for speeding, he got rammed for evading the police. It's a bit more serious.
