I don't know about you but I had great fun in Runescape ages ago. I don't anymore but who knows, it's probably an age thing.

they've updooted the graphics and added a lot since I last played I still vouch for it, it was very fun

The trailer is great, but the game is still lackluster. Maybe if I was a gold or premium or whatever the fuck back in the day I would've liked it more.

When it flashbacked to his youth I thought they were looking back at an age of bad graphics and were going to introduce better graphics. Left disappointed.

I'll admit, it does look like RuneScape's improved in graphics a bit over the years, but it still looks kinda blocky.

I tried to get back into it a few months ago. It got outbid for my attention by Minecraft and Total War games. Endgame was mostly grinding anyway.

Their website got hacked though, but their pre-alpha was released some time ago I believe.

I'm talking back in 2009-2010 or something, I forget the date.

Oh I remember Runescape. Played for four years until my brother hacked my account and used it as a spambot to link to an account-stealing website, which resulted in me getting banned. Good times those were, good times.

My cousins still play and spend a shit ton of their parents money on Runescape.

Jagex has said multiple times that the member's only access was going to become smaller to the point of being an "expansion pack" so to speak. I guess they never got around to it, would play it more if it was. Anyways trailer is good, game doesn't live up to it especially since Tavelry is a member's only town.

I don't know if it's possible to make a trailer that's less representative of actual gameplay. I had fun back in the day but I have to acknowledge it's basically a glorified grinding simulator.

It was fun for what it was, I enjoyed it through middle school/some of high school, but it deteriorated after they basically removed what made the wilderness fun, killing players and stealing their shit. Haven't looked back since, and not really interested in doing so anyways.

The best thing about runescape for me was definitely the trading system was free, unregulated transactions between players. You could hold auctions, cheat people with rare items or do bank sales that got rid of your useless crap AND made you a tonne of money. You could make so much money in the game just by tricky trading, but Jagex killed that so they could pander to new players instead.
