Yep. I know it can be tempting, but it's generally a bad idea to remove items from an explorable location. It ruins the experience for anyone else that may come along. That and if the police catch you in the act or leaving the location with stuff, they can bust you for theft, instead of letting you off with a warning for trespassing.
Hell, I've walked away from setting off bottle-bombs in an industrial complex (we thought it was farm property) and they just warned us and told us to be on our way.

The lesson being as long as you're not disturbing shit, you should be good. It helps to have a camera in your hand because then they'll know you're not a thief, a salvager or an arsonist.
You guys should also wear gloves. These places are prime targets for someone to die from an OD or get murdered in, and then they find your prints at the scene, could make for some awkwardness. Has happened before so not a bad idea

That x-box probably didn't work honestly its probably got so much dust in it by now, there were a lot of games all over the floor though. I was half tempted to take the shoes, looked like they would fit me, but you know I don't take stuff. Everything was really dusty in there I think it's been sitting for at least 2 years. It was nastier in there than it looks on video. Real stagnant moist hot air too, probably so much mold underneath all that crap.
Should've definitely worn my gloves, forgot to put them on they were in my pocket the whole time!
