Wow that's great.
I want one on my shirt with videos playing.
:gizz:
My only problem with this, is that it might get bent out of shape.
Why does the guy randomly hammer the table after hitting the screens on the table? :downs:
ah wulli wulli wulli
Why does the guy randomly hammer the table after hitting the screens on the table? :downs:
He can't aim.
My only problem with this, is that it might get bent out of shape.
He has a point. Depends how springy it is.
He has a point. Depends how springy it is.
You could probably just attach it to a thin solid surface to help support its shape.
Yeah, great, the screen is flexible. But the buttons are not, the case probably won't be and the speaker certainly is not. So before releasing a "near indestructible" phone, they should make it near indestructible.
My only problem with this, is that it might get bent out of shape.
How many cellphones have you "bent out of shape" in your whole lifetime? I can't really see how all this bending and stuff is going make a difference when were talking about a CELLPHONE.... It doesn't break as the guy in the video showed, but what the fuck does anyone care about how it bends when your cellphone is a SOLID object? Unless their making some "FLIPFLOP" series.
I want newspapers with that thing in it!
Actually, my dad works for a company who did some of the work on this project, I have one of their prototypes (a small debit-card with a display in the top-right corner). The only drawbacks my dad said were the refresh rate, and the horrible color-washing when exposed to sunlight. That's the big problem they're working on right now. For instance, if they used this in a billboard, 1) the sunlight would wash out pretty much the entire display and 2) the dyes they use in each of the "pixels" is highly photovoltaic, meaning it can essentially get "sunburned" resulting in a similar effect as plasma TVs burning in. But they can still apply it to many things that would not run into these issues, which is what I'm looking forward to.
It doesn't even look like he's hitting the OLED with the hammer when the video's playing.
I want one on my shirt with videos playing.
Fuck yeah! Teletubbies!
Fuck yeah! Teletubbies!
Oh god I lol'd
How many times does he need to hit it? WE GET THE POINT

I always thought that companies businesses such as the production information of a modern day gadget is highly classified.
What would you do with a flexible screen anyway? The only good/handy thing I see coming out off this is that if you drop it, it won't break.

run a tractor over it like any other real life situation
Whats the name of the song? OLED?
I want newspapers with that thing in it!
Might be in the future news papers. awesome!
Newspapers. Fuck. Clock me

Doesn't the S9 by Cowon have one of these displays?
Yes, but it's not flexible.
This would be great for TV's own by retards who can't hold onto their Wii controller.
It would also be awesome to have one of these as panorama screens while playing first person shooters.
