you are so dedicated to this these videos are growing on me
I'm glad a few other people are interested too! They were fun to build, I hope someday OE-Cake will have a community again
I want to see a CUDA (or OpenCL?) version of OE Cake
So is this program like a hyper advanced version of Powder Toy?
With me having a background in meteorology, I approve of this.
I want to see a CUDA (or OpenCL?) version of OE Cake
That would be amazing, a particle-based physics game as detailed as OE-Cake but with good performance. I can't even imagine how amazing that game would be, you could create completely destructible environments to a degree never seen before in any game. PowderToy was great because it had long-term support from it's developer and ended up with many interesting and detailed materials and a wide range of physics, so it could create some very interesting things. It's biggest problem was that it did not have movable rigid objects, so anything created had to be stationary. This game has a pretty wide variety of physics but less materials, it's like PowderToy and Phun/Algodoo had a baby. It can do anything you set your imagination to but it has a bit of a steep learning curve.
did anything get updated in the 8 years i last seen this program
did anything get updated in the 8 years i last seen this program
No it's the exact same old program, but people have come a long way learning how to use it! So many new secrets have came out, some helped me make this video! There's a really great site to learn how to use the game and how to use it's secrets: http://oecake.wikia.com
