Too bad they didn't get more pedestrian reactions.
How did people even manage to wear full suits like this long ago?
How did people even manage to wear full suits like this long ago?
Quite easily. You'd quickly get used to the extra weight so long as you're decently fit and healthy, but it wouldn't be too much of a strain since the weight's quite evenly distributed around your body. I'm sure there's probably a Lindybeige video on the topic.
How did people even manage to wear full suits like this long ago?
well for one they didn't need to get into a car damn it ubermunchkin
How did people even manage to wear full suits like this long ago?
You were fine as long as you stood upright.
Reminds me of this
And they say that chivalry is dead.
How did people even manage to wear full suits like this long ago?
that suit doesnt seem to fit properly
How did people even manage to wear full suits like this long ago?
Good suits of armor fit you well and are almost flawlessly articulated. It's heavy but because you're wearing it, the weight is distributed over your entire body. There's some videos of people running, doing push ups and jumping jacks along with other random stuff in better fitted armor on YouTube, can't link right now since I'm on mobile. Good armor isn't as encumbering as some people make it out to be.
How did people even manage to wear full suits like this long ago?
The suits people wore into battle were properly fitted and wouldn't have problems like the knee getting caught on itself. This suit looks like it was made to sit on a stand rather than to be worn. Also knights would generally only wear suits of armour into battles, if they were just doing mundane shit for their lord they'd wear lighter armour.

It looks like his armor is really poorly fitted.
Yea, he probably needs a breastplate stretcher
You were fine as long as you stood upright.
no lol, people did cartwheels in suits of armor, falling down wasn't shit
Clangrattleclangityclang
How did people even manage to wear full suits like this long ago?
this channel is pretty cool it has videos on almost every part of the armor and how it connects to the rest
also modern reproduction suits (the kind he's wearing) are made of 18-gauge steel, extremely thin.
hahah, he isn't even lightrolling, what a loser
How did people even manage to wear full suits like this long ago?
They were better tailored, and made from better material. They also weren't trying to do detail work with the gloves and helmet on. Properly fitting equipment puts very little strain on you. As an example relevant to some of the others posted so far in the thread, have an old guy jumping off a horse.
You can tell that it's poorly made, he can barely bend over in it
Cool. Now record the whole thing again in horizontal mode.
How the FUCK can your car look like that? What the shit it looks like he just emptied a dumpster in there.
Dude that was my very first thought. My girlfriend does the same shit and it drives me nuts, your car is an important tool that you spent tons of money investing in, don't make it a multi-thousand dollar trash can.
also modern reproduction suits (the kind he's wearing) are made of 18-gauge steel, extremely thin.
that looks fun in all honesty.
can phone manufacturers remove user capability to film vertically
Yeah but when I'm watching a video on a phone and I can fullscreen it portrait style it's an incredibly satisfying experience.
full plate armor has been improved countlessly for the past 700 or so years, the quality of a genuine battle-ready suit of armor is- what i assume- to be incomparable. thats like being in the future and assuming a fake plastic reproduction helmet is an accurate representation of the military tech of today. we gotta give 800 years of relentless european warfare a little more faith than that lol
Like other people have posted, full plate armor that's properly made will be worn as though a second skin. That suit rattles about him as though he were a child in daddy's armor.
