Perfect person to get on someones case about trash pranks, Steve-o, genius.
the tone of this sucked. the kids being abused isn't funny at all and then going on to do goofy ha ha fake prank skit at the end was a bit fucked considering the context.
oh man they got zach as well, the guy who wore the "suicide vest" that was just a bunch of firecrackers taped to the guy's skin.

I thought it was more a way to condemn it by showing how horrible and fucked up it is. All I got from this was them making fun of the horrible parents, not the kids.
As much as I love seeing Ethan and Steve-O doing these goofs together, this just didn't feel right to me. I absolutely think that you can joke about anything but knowing what that kid is likely going through right now, it just comes across as insensitive. Regardless if the whole "smash that like button" is ironic or not.
Already posted in the h3h3 megathread 12 minutes prior.

Edit
Can't tell if you guys are blind or what. We've already got a thread in this section for h3h3, and this video was posted already.
This felt...wrong.
It feels like they're capitalizing on the abuse and drama and making a "GOOF AND GAFF" video. Sure it has its moments but otherwise it's kinda offputting.

Normally I would disagree but holy shit, definitely not here; I was expecting Ethan at some point was going to rip into / call out these people like what happened in the WSJ videos but no, none of that really happens at all.
These interviewee-styled videos are really starting to lose their charm too, especially with how irrelevant it is here to the point it does really come off as insensitive.
I can't believe steve-o is fucking dead
they'll take this video down in a few days, what a fucking dumb decision by Ethan. Making a skit trivialising child abuse is so stupid.

You really think he's gonna take down a video that features Steve-O?
is it really trivializing child abuse, or is he just showing how fucking disgusting this situation is
I think the whole forced "it's a prank dude!" bit helped explain the situation well, they even addressed this towards the end with the guy going "Despite me agreeing to this, you guys have taken it way too far"
EDIT : grammar
they'll take this video down in a few days, what a fucking dumb decision by Ethan. Making a skit trivialising child abuse is so stupid.
i bet its monetized too
unintentionally making this worse than the daddy of five videos because they actively know its wrong and still profit off it
You really think he's gonna take down a video that features Steve-O?
Well, he should. It's misguided and leaves a really bad taste in my mouth.
The thought process obviously was "We have Steve-O wanting to make a video, this big drama is blowing up, let's combine the two" when it SHOULD have been "Let's make an unrelated vid with Steve-O and make a rant video about the child abuse, or leave it alone entirely"
You guys are missing the point, they don't make fun of the kids at any point in the video.
Man, H3H3 hasn't really been that great recently. Ethan used to get serious when it was actually a serious issue, but that wasn't the case with this video. It's child abuse, Ethan. And that whole end section contributed absolutely nothing of value to the video.
I mean, Steve-O and H3H3 could be an awesome combo, but over this topic? I'm really not sure.

I disliked this particular h3 video but sayings it's worse then dads of five is dumb

Nobody said they did, at least not the kids specifically, but rather the awful situations their parents put them in.

i noticed the video wasn't running ads and thought it was because ethan had some respect for the situation but i guess not lol

profiting off child abuse is wrong, its even more wrong when you use it as a joke to push likes and make jokes about/based on it while its still going on
phillip demonetized his videos involved in the situation because it was a serious matter
emptyquotes
It's right there in Rusty's quote, dude:
the kids being abused isn't funny at all
fuck off ethan. ever since vape nation your videos have been awful.
It's right there in Rusty's quote, dude:
i retract my statements then
sorry
I expect he's probably going to release a video on the controversy soon, I doubt Hila would let Ethan upload something without getting into it.. right?
but then again he'd still be making money off child abuse

By your logic a newspaper running an article about a child abuse case is worse then the child abuser due to them technically profiting off of it.

a newspaper doesnt go "hey look child abuse also watch us piss on a fat guy and chop our nuts off. smash that fucking like button"
I mean, Steve-O and H3H3 could be an awesome combo, but over this topic? I'm really not sure.
My guess is: they scheduled this with Steve-O a while ago, but decided last minute the topic was gonna be Daddyofive once it blew up. Must've had Steve for only one afternoon or something, and realized it'd be easier, and possibly more effective, to just put the two things together instead of making two videos.
aka they didn't put much thought into it at all
a newspaper doesnt go "hey look child abuse also watch us piss on a fat guy and chop our nuts off"
So you're mad about the tone of the video and not the fact that it's monetized.
