This guy does a realy good job at describing why I think this game will turn out quite well. Sorry if im late, but the video is worth a watch regardless.
Really digging those visuals.
When I got to Starting the Video I was sold :v:
Too good to be true. 100% guaranteed. Happened with Spore, with Fable many times, and a bunch of other "revolutionary" games of their genres. In concept it sounds like the best, but I severely doubt it will live up to anywhere near what people think. And its a god damn shame.
Ever played Guild Wars 1? What they are promising is no where out of the reach of these devs.
Ever played Guild Wars 1? What they are promising is no where out of the reach of these devs.
I did and it wasn't very good. You just sort've gave it the benefit of the doubt since it was free.
I played Guild Wars to level 20, didn't really like it. But this seems fucking AMAZING.
I did and it wasn't very good. You just sort've gave it the benefit of the doubt since it was free.
I found it to be the most fun I've ever had in an MMO (And the Free part did help quite a bit).
The environmental changes look realy fluid. Not like in WoW where you can be in a snow blizzard one minute and in a volcano the next.
Late but great.

Probably going to get this over Tera primarily because of no monthly fee.. Tera mang, I ain't got no mone. :smith:
Video started out really well by stating World of Warcraft has a high level of production quality despite whatever you think about the gameplay itself, which leads me to believe that the creator knows what he is talking about, and the rest of the video didn't disappoint. This is how you make people interested in your game. Looking forward to this one. No monthly fee is huge.
I don;t like the sound of the pvp. Matches realms together and no limit to how many people come. So if you are on a really avtive pvp realm and you get matched with a less active one all you have to do is charge in with more people and win...
Insta-buy. I loved GW1.
Dynamic combat is awesome in MMOs, just need to test Vindictus to know how great it is.
I don't play MMOs mainly because even though I spend a lot of time on PC, I think these games really consume a lot of your time. That said, this game looks great and I really like the features. If I ever decided to play one of these again, this would be it.
I'm damn hyped for this game, combat system looks amazing.
No healer No Tank and no DPS Just the classes? :v: So there will be healers, tanks, and DPS regardless? Or will using this strategy be a bannable offense? :v: You can't just take a strategic concept away like that without seriously crippling players.

It doesn't really eliminate it as much as it expands it.
This might be the first mmo that I seriously play. Can't wait!
I dislike reason number 1. I love the holy trinity of MMOs, too bad GW2 won't have it.
I dislike reason number 1. I love the holy trinity of MMOs, too bad GW2 won't have it.
You would rather be forced into a single role and need to get your 5 friends all to play different roles, if somebody doesn't want to play their role you have to find a new friend. Or would you rather be able to choose roughly, eg Warriors can take more damage than Elementalists, but elementalists can summon sheilds or elements to protect the party in different ways. That way you and you mates can have as much fun as possible, without having to wait.
The trinity is still there, you just ain't forced into a single role with any class.
This... actually looks like something worth getting. I shit you not.
Number 1 reason I'm buying guild wars 2 is because of jeremy soule. No joke. I fucking love that guy.
The trinity is still there, you just ain't forced into a single role with any class.
Well, you aren't forced into a single class in World of Warcraft either (Except for DPS). Every class that can tank can either heal or DPS. And every class that can heal can either tank or DPS.
I myself cannot wait for the giant group boss fights, they look amazing.
