Directed by M. Night Shyamalan , M. Night Shyamalalalalalalan, M. Night Shyamalamadingdong, etc.
That was trying way too hard.
What's the bet the plot twist here is [sp]the mother also suffers from this as well?[/sp]
This could of been a neat idea if the dialogue didn't come off so cheesy and the acting was less half-assed. I think it would have been better just to have the grandmother suffer from it as well, while the husband denies it.

I'm willing to bet money that this is it.
Why can't a horror movie not be a handheld these days?
Plot twist is it's a retelling of Hansel and Gretel.
Y'know it took me about half the trailer to realise it was a found footage movie, mostly because of the fact they didn't try to make it look like a found footage movie.
If you're gonna use an old gimmick, use an old gimmick well.
Really? How could anyone take those lines seriously? "I was just cleaning it." "Would you get inside the oven to clean it?"

The last good found-footage horror movie was V/H/S. The gimmick has potential, but someone needs to do something actually interesting with it ala early Slenderman stuff.
It'd be great if there was a Ted the Caver-style found-footage film, or maybe even a fantasy/sci-fi one with a big budget.
plot twist, kids are insane and the videos at the end will show the truth.
I would rather have a plot twist where the mom has multiple lives and she raised kids for her parents to eat. Gives the feeling that your mother doesn't love you and loves a family you never knew about.
Are you sure this is just the trailer? I'm pretty sure I just saw everything the movie had to offer.

That's basically the plot of The Taking of Deborah Logan, which was a decent found footage film. Pretty generic, but this trailer really reminded me of it.
it doesnt even look supernatural
it just looks like grandmas gone fucking insane
Plot twist is it's a retelling of Hansel and Gretel.
Yeah the twist being over the days spent there they slowly eat one of the walls to escape!
I'm betting you the twist is the Mother knew all along the Grandmother and Grandfather are insane, possessed, whatever, and sent the kids there as some sort of sacrifice, like they'll manage to get away, find there mother and suddenly she'll be the one to kill them in the end.
Hell the grandparents are probably dead already. Maybe the mom too.
It sounds retarded, but it is M.Night Samamamlamalamalmalmalamadingding, the guy who made the movie about the devil fucking around with people in an elevator, and buttered toast was the plot device to figure out if the devil was really there.
Personally I think its great that M. Night is making comedies now.

Taking of Deborah Logan was pretty decent for found footage imo, like a 7/10 but this movie is probably gonna be a fucking 3/10
For anyone looking for a somewhat more original horror film:
Could be a really creepy movie if someone else was making it. I just really doubt it'll be decent in the hands of M. Night.
A movie told through the kids perspective in an isolated place with two old people going insane sounds fucking terrifying, but the way this is written kind of ruined it for me.
That's what I was thinking, it'd need better actors, writers and directors. Also the old people certainly shouldn't be related to them and maybe the kids should be teenagers because any younger and the acting will be abysmal.
Also more supernaturally, tbh this just looks like they're being asked to spend a week with two criminally insane old age pensioners.

That and The Village.
Are they trying to make it very unappealing to everyone or something?

Come on, The Village was a pretty good movie other than the bad twist. People hate on it way too much.
