Found these trying to look up TV railroad commercials and I found them to be fairly interesting considering how controversial Amtrak is within the American railfan community.

amtrak was nice to ride, to be honest. i took it from the eastern half of WA to Seattle, and it was an enjoyable ride. fairly cheap. downsides though:
- there were some interesting passengers waiting for the train, which i had to catch at 3am. including someone with a bag of raw meat.
- everything had a vibe of "we're barely existing help"
- my conductor looked like tommy lee jones, but acted like a really pissed off and grumpy tommy lee jones. mr tommy lee jones the conductor did not enjoy my attempts to not giggle at who he looked like
