It's Underground with a mix of Carbon, definitely hope that it's not fucked over and is actually good. Especially since they're pulling Carbon moves by mixing live action sequences with gameplay. Either way, looks great so far, especially visually.
What the heck is up with that camera going around corners? I hope that's an option because that seems horrid.
Looks very pretty, but too arcade-ish for my liking.
If you are wondering about the song during the car customization part, it's this.

please come to pc underground and underground 2 were undeniably the best ones
Looks very pretty, but too arcade-ish for my liking.
Need for speed was always arcade-y.
Need for speed was always arcade-y.
Yeah that's true, except for Shift which was more simcade. It's just that in my mind I expect the feel/gameplay to evolve with the visuals, and when it doesn't I just can't do it anymore.
please come to pc underground and underground 2 were undeniably the best ones
Somehow it reminded me a lot Underground 2. [editline]17th June 2015[/editline] I didn't expect the actual gameplay to look that smooth, pretty excited about it. Lighting in gaming is getting really good.
It is: https://www.origin.com/en-us/store/buy/needforspeed/pc-download/base-game/standard-edition
$79.99 for standard edition ($89.99 for Deluxe). I mean I know the Canadian dollar is in the pooper but damn EA what are you doing? Won't be pre-purchasing this game sadly. It looks good feels like Underground 2; but I just can't trust E3 gameplay videos. Will have to wait till launch to make a decision.

I'll just go do a border hop to the nearest walmart across the border. Including gas, that'll somehow cost me less.
Damn it looks sexy.
please come to pc underground and underground 2 were undeniably the best ones
Have you replayed those games recently? The rubberbanding on both of those games was insane. Any race, the only lap that mattered was the last half of the final lap. Especially bad because UG1 had so many 6 or 7 lap races. 5-7 minutes of perfect driving suddenly don't mean shit if you drift a corner slightly 5 seconds before the finish line. UG2 had more in-depth customization (and many better-looking parts: Sweeper bumpers and skirts for life) but was worse in every other way. The cars handled like crap, it had a useless open world that you HAD to use to drive between races, otherwise the game penalized you, and the rain. Oh man the rain. Every single race itds start raining at about the second lap, and once it does, the handling of your car goes even more out the window. And also the shitty SUV races. And the Cingular logo being displayed on-screen basically the entire game. I tried to enjoy it, but it really didn't hold up to the nostalgia. That said, UG1's soundtrack was probably the best any of the post-UG1 games. Carbon and ProStreet are my favorites post-UG1. Mostly because why would I drive a Honda Civic when I could be driving a Porsche or a beefy muscle car?
If Need for Speed is coming back with Black Box gone, does that mean there's hope for Skate 4?

That turning camera makes me feel sick. Hopefully you can turn it off.

Even in the late game races, most of the time I would be several seconds ahead of the other cars by the halfway point and they never caught up. There were a few races that were a bit harder, like the last few URL races, but even the "final boss" was far behind at the end.
What the heck is up with that camera going around corners? I hope that's an option because that seems horrid.
I couldn't make it through most of the video with that shit. God that's horrible.
Burnout driving go away plz
I just hate the naming choices. First NFS:HP (2010) and now this. NFS. Why do you have to reuse same old names? Graphics are great though, except there is too much motion blur for my taste.
Terrible camera, way too much motion blur, bundled together with EA's usual always online DRM (https://twitter.com/NeedforSpeed/status/604705321278267392). Another Need for Speed game I'll be avoiding, I haven't bought one since Pro Street and I was hoping this game would be better, but I guess not.
It was awesome seeing my car modded like that.
Is that cutscene an FMV or was that in-engine? It's messing with my head so bad, five years ago LA Noire seemed so impressive and now here we are with a racing game with characters that look so real it almost feels effortless...

Camera looks so bad that once you start drifting/turning you'll probably lose control, which makes it a real problem.
I hope it has hatchbacks like the old Underground games. I guess Fiesta's and Corsa's are today's 206's and Polos. Just to mix up the super car thing of recent games.
FUCK YEAH ROCKETBUNNY!
That trap was sexy! How have I not heard that before?
