The trick is to only play when you want to. I can't read sheet music at all, never bothered to, yet learning music is always fun for me.

I would say the trick is to find pieces that you love or, failing that, find how to connect to pieces you don't.
As far as sheet music goes, you should learn how to read it, Zethereal. If you're going to be a serious pianist and develop both emotionally and technically, you'll absolutely need to be able to read sheet music. Otherwise you're not able to interpret what a composer wants from you in notes, expression, and effects.
For the cover, the notes are good, the dynamics are too stagnant. Constant forte obscures the emotion and reduces the momentum of the theme.
Reading this over, I want to say I'm not bashing you, just offering tips.

Those sure are a lot of words I don't know.
I do want to learn music theory, but the whole idea of it seemed pointless so I never got around to it. What you're saying makes sense though, you can't really put the correct emotions into a song without knowing exactly what the composer wants. I have quite a few books on reading sheet music, so I may have a look at them sometime.
Thanks for this post, it's very helpful.

Sorry, 'same' and 'loud.' :v:
Again, not trying to crap on your thread or anything. Nice cover!
Gave me goosebump.
I actually like this a ton more than the original score
