Puts my current problem with a TI-30 I bought recently into perspective. That only needs a new 9V battery holder and it will be good as new.
Great video. I thought this had a nice explanation of the Texas Instruments chip used, which I love to see. I also thought it was weird to see the foam inside basically turn into dust when touched, but I guess that happens over 40 some years :v:

The presentation of his videos make him look like a pro but he's really pretty amateurish in some regards. If there were better channels in his style I'd watch them but unfortunately the selection is pretty narrow.

8bitguy has always struck me as just an [b]incredibly[/b] impassioned and self-educated-on-the-subject hobbyist. I've never gotten the vibe of him trying to assert he's a professional or bonafide expert. Just someone who loves to tinker with old tech and learn as much as he can about it all.
