Streumon are seriously out doing themselves here.
I really can't fucking wait for this game
I really like the variety here. That and with all the abilities you see down in the bottom corner.
Having gotten into Vermintide recently, I simply can't wait for this to release, soon I'll go from killing rats in the Warhammer fantasy with simple swords, mace, and hammers, to exploring massive terrifying spacehulks that holds many horrors but yet a beaming with ancient relics in a terminator suit spewing the Emperors fury out power weapons and all that fucking cool as shit 40k stuff.
reminds me of republic commando in the more cramped areas
Easily my most anticipated game. A mix of Left 4 Dead and 40k is a dream come true. I hope we get the chance to play as tactical marines someday.
These the same guys that did E.Y.E.? haha That's a lot of enemies, hope the performance is good
The sound in this was really disappointing. The weapons all sounded really weak and i wish they would work a bit more on that and make the weapons feel more beefy. You're a damn terminator, it should feel and sound like you're one too. Other than that i'm not going to complain. The world needs more awesome 40K games.
The gameplay reminds me of DOOM, somewhat. I like it though.
I hope we get the chance to play as tactical marines someday.
there's Relic's old Space Marine for that, but it's 3rd person action instead of a shooter - it would probably be difficult to properly portray a Marine's fast and very versatile fighting style from the 1st person perspective
I haven't been following the game except for watching trailers here and there, but is it just me or did the gameplay seem REALLY choppy at points? Vermintide already requires a beast pc and even then it struggles, I fear this will be the same.
Man, this seem legitimately like the first time a dev has really grasped the concept of their slice of 40k and made it into something good.
Man, this seem legitimately like the first time a dev has really grasped the concept of their slice of 40k and made it into something good.
Dawn of war II is one of the best licensed games of all time, much less just 40K.
I'm not a huge 40K nerd so I don't know for a fact. But that Plasma Cannon is Tau isn't it? Isn't that.. heretical..?
Dawn of war II is one of the best licensed games of all time, much less just 40K.
This is the grossest thing I've ever read.

The weapons sound and feel downright pathetic.
They might change the sounds Still a month to go and they haven't given an exact date yet
Ya know what I'm not liking about this game? Maybe I'm wrong but it looks like this: "Here's a bigass fucking gun, you pulverize shit with it." *smallest enemy takes 50 hits to die*
They might change the sounds Still a month to go and they haven't given an exact date yet
says Available 24 November if you add it to cart, but take it with a ton of salt.

Granted, they missed a lot.
I really hope you mean Dawn of War 1, 2 is kinda really shit.
DoW 2 isn't a bad game, just a bad DoW
I really hope you mean Dawn of War 1, 2 is kinda really shit.
Nope. If you're argument is "but mah tt" you're a simply a moron, there's no other way to couch it politely. TT is a complete clusterfuck of broken rules, Tau/Eldar generated ragequits and the worst Nid representation in the company's history and an IG rep that relies almost soley on either two specific hqs or two utterly utterly broken vehicles capable of generating over 60 wound rolls every other turn. Complete fucking mess, without a remote attempt at balance. If you're argument is "but mah bassseseses", you haven't actually ever read or played 40K because there is exactly one faction that builds bases in the 40K universe. One, and two subfactions of Marines and Chaos Marine respectively. That's it. As stated that last time this tired ass fetishized conversation came up, spamming build orders for 20 minutes and then facerushing at your opponent a giant blob is about fun three times and then the appeal is frankly done. Dow1 is also imbalanced as shit (DE Tau SoB) and nostalgia for babby's first warhammers doesn't change that in the slightest. DoW2 doesn't follow TT in any attempt, but it hits all the representation notes of each faction represented to a T, and while the balance isn't perfect by any stretch of the imagination, it's far cry from DoW1's crtl+A spam-to-win clusterfuck.

It becomes a far superior game to DoW 2, with it's core elements remaining as good RTS and hitting a good balance between the tabletop, the lore, and ingame representation. While DoW 2 is a clusterfuck of awfully made design choices. DoW 2 limits what sort of tactics you can use due to very limited amount of unit types compared to DoW 1, so it also cannot represent the WH40k variety as good as 1 can, not to mention the shit like small max amount of units, which, while you could say represents TT somewhat well, doesn't fit the lore of WH40k as well. The reason DoW 1's basebuilding works is because EXACTLY it doesn't try to represent TT perfectly, it makes a compromise from a gameplay perspective by having an extra layer of management the player needs to overcome their enemies. It's also not "babby's first warhammers nostalgia", but it sure seems like you've got some of that going with DoW 2 considering how angry you are. But I digress, we're already going offtopic as it is, so I'll leave it at this and won't comment any further in the thread.
Dow 1 and 2 are both good 40k games. Dow 2 might not fit into the standard rts theme but it works well as a sort of 1k point army transition from the tabletop to the game, while Dow 1 serves as 2-3k armies. They both work well at what they're doing, and both have a lot of amazing lore and depict the various races pretty well.
The fov is so low, am I supposed to play this with one eye closed ?
Uhh, all the guns absolutely destroyed shit when they actually hit something. Granted, they missed a lot.
Well I blame it on the actors then :v:
