The AI in this game is ridiculous. Whoever designed this highway is soon going to be fired.
I am more interested in why there is an 1000 foot drop into oblivion on a pedestrian motorway.
Christ that HUD is horrendous.
I think everyone is trying a little to hard to rip on this game. I mean the reviews say its good, so it must be good right?
I think the game looks good but for £40 they can fuck themselves.
I think it's honestly worth only 30$. As I said in another thread I was really curious about how the story continued, what the hell happened to Razor and Darius and also Cross and the damn helicopters :v:

Why have a story or any structured characters in the game when you can do whatever you want? you tell your own story! I mean that seems great on paper, but in reality it just gets messy and seems lazy.

I also hate easydrive, it's making selecting races and cars extremely painfull in my opinion, what was wrong with the simple menus from before?

100 officers died that day
"Yeah, this guy had training"

But, it could've been much better than that :c Not that I don't agree but MW already had a basic story already running wich makes kinda no sense to remove.
Criterion is not good with stories and AI. I thought this would be clear to everyone.

The city in the game is built in the same manner as Paradise City in a certain earlier release and Takedowns are in the game. The new Most Wanted is a hybrid between Need For Speed and Burnout.

I played it cause I like racing games and need for speed had some fairly solid gameplay I couldn't give two shits about the story.
Personally I do find the game to be pretty fun, but I can't help but feel it could have been so much more.
In what way could it have been more though. It's without a doubt one of the best and most fun online multiplayer racers to come out in years.

The feeling that you're playing for a reason and not just driving around doing fuck all?

I actualy had a motive and I was also really curious.
Progression? The feeling that you're playing for a reason and not just driving around doing fuck all?
One could argue that the most wanted list counts as progression, but I just don't get the same feeling from this game compared to the original. Original had actual upgrading. You had to buy cars and engines and tires and stuff to progress. Here it's just do a few races on one car and switch to another. You don't really earn anything outside of the ten cars from the most wanted list and some nearly pointless stat upgrades that don't even come close to the depth NFS Underground 2, MW, and Carbon had.

The customization was better, the music was better, the cop A.I. and radio chatter was better. Everything about the original was better than this.

This game has perhaps some of the best multiplayer of any racing game period, it's an enormous amount of fun and it expands on the games predecessor (Paradise) by a lot. This was not a game which when development started was intended to be a sequel to Most Wanted that is plainly obvious, and I can't help but feel that EA told them to use the Need for Speed brand because its more in peoples minds than Burnout where the last game came out 4 years ago. Need for Speed has changed dramatically and this is the best one since it started. It misses out on a lot of the customisation because this is not a NFS game, its just what EA wanted to call it.
Wow, I definitely see some Burnout Paradise engine working there. The camera and handling really gives it away.

This is not a Need for Speed game, calling it that is an insult to the Need for Speed franchise. Well maybe not an insult.

The need for speed name is more broad than it used to be meaning that it caters to different kinds of gameplay as well.

Even though not in the base game, is still a vital part of NFS that has been lacking from the last few games), Calling it a Most Wanted sequel or successor seems excessive. It is nothing like Most Wanted outside of the Most Wanted system which just sort of feels added on. Like they made a burnout paradise game and were like "well we gotta make it Most Wanted somehow" so they just tacked it on. Like nothing is locked (outside of the Most Wanted drivers cars). You can access pretty much everything without beating a single black list member. Which then removes almost all the feeling of "earning" something. Like if they called it like Need for Speed: <insert random tagline here> it would be a bit more acceptable. Hell, even if it had the Most Wanted list. The Most Wanted list is essentially theonly thing tying the two games together.
