Dubai: How can we make skyscrapers unnecessarily complicated and hazardous, while using an uncalled-for amount of power to do it? Make that shit turnnnn
Ok, why?
Looks neat but you would get sick.
They do love coming up with ridiculous ways of spending their ridiculous amounts of money over there.
The tower actually has solar panels on each floor and in between floors are wind turbines that generate the power for the whole tower.
How would you even get in the building?
I'm curious as to how elevators work in this thing.
I hope they actually move as fast as it's shown in the beginning
that would be funny as shit

They're in the middle
For those wondering, the elevators will be in the center of the building and they don't spin.

Fucking ninja :argh:
It'd be like those revolving restaurants. Except now you'd have to work in one.

What elevators? It uses teleporters silly! :pseudo:
Theres probably an elevator in the middle, where it doesn't move.
yeah
I want to go to dubai now
This is old stuff I heard about this building before a while ago. I've been to Dubai twice, its motherfucking hot over there. The Jumeriah hotel is so fucking nice though.
fuck debt says dubai
They're just attracting planes now...
Hmmm...I wonder what happens when someone with motion sickness rents a room...
Dubai sure does love their fancy sky scrapers.
I wonder if you would get dizzy over time.
How would you get inside/outside while its turning..
and what about pluming? wiring?
Thats a brilliant idea
33 seconds looks like a bomb is going off
These aren't getting built anytime soon. The original project got canceled about 2-3 years ago.
And anyone who's wondering how the elevators, plumbing, wiring work, they are located in the core of the building. This is a stationary structure. The floors are then suspended from the core, and probably role on a track based system, which allows them to spin.

I just assumed the turbines flipped the fuck out and attacked the building like they did in the video.
looks like something i'd like to fly a plane into.
i can picture a guy sitting at his desk doing work OH SHIT SPINNING TIME (room spins at 30 miles an hour sending everything flying all over the room)
Have the people of Dubai even heard of the words ridiculous and unnecessary?
